I think we might have our wires crossed...I'm thinking the 80s, not the SN95 Mustang from 1994. When you say Fox Mustang Sedan, this is what I'm thinking styling wise : I think it looks like a foxbody in the same way an s650 looks like a 60s mustang. The lack of an upper grille, the character lines that flows from the hood to under the side glass, and the taller, almost notchback like roofline compared to the s650's fastback. Fox LTD and Chrysler E body (stretch K car) both debuted for 1983 model year. Considering the poor financial condition of both Ford and Chrysler at the time, these were cost effective stopgaps until Taurus was ready for production. Of course, Chrysler kept using K car derivatives until the beautiful but fragile LH platform debuted for 1993 model year. At least for 1985, the LTD did have an LX version that used the 165 hp throttle body 5.0L V8 used in Mustangs with the automatic transmission. Manual transmission Mustangs used a 4 bbl 5.0L V8 that offered 175 and later 210 hp until port fuel injection was used for 1986.
