mackinaw
Can't say I am suprised by the numbers but for some reason analysts were predicting an increase for ford along with GM-chrylser was supposed to be one of the losers Just shows you what the so-called experts know. Now that the Taurus is history, I suspect that year-to-date comparisons for the upcoming year will be dismal. You can't walk away from that much fleet volume without an impact. igor
What is the relevance of that question?F-series barely outsold the Silverado and was soundly thumped by the GM pickups. Dodge pickup sales were also up. Get it over with and start that 'Bluecon was right again' thread GM Pickups have outsold F-series for about past 5 years .. but it JUST became an issue - and an indication of how Ford will fail ? ??? ? oh my .. silvrsvt
I really don't think you can back that up with a link because it is not true. WTF are you talking about? The F-series is the best selling "NAMEPLATE" in the US. The COMBINED sales of GMC and Chevy Pickups is greater then F-series.
RichardJensen
What is the relevance of that question? GM has been outselling Ford for years. Your big thing was Chevy outselling Ford. Remember?
bilge
Have several buddies that are self employed contractors each in a different business... would not even look at a Ford this year. One new dodge, two new yotas, one nissan later,, Ford lost four repeat sales. Not only were lost sales, but these folks drove Fords for the last 15-20 years. The dodge beat out the 6.uh oh, no way would he buy another Ford diesel again right now, maybe next time. The others did not want to drive a f150 homo or be associated with that image. Like it or not, this is the way these former ford customers feel. If ford wants to keep pushing and spending on the gay agenda,, that is ok,, just be prepared for a smaller customer base. Losing em one at a time, all the time.

Bluecon
Time to start the Bluecon was wrong thread. Let us look at last Novembers numbers. GM pickups sold 52,564 Ford F-series 62,878. Last November Ford F-series outsold the GM pickups by more than 10K. GM pickup sales are way up this November and Ford F-series is way down. You guys are pathetic. You can't even get that right. Red Star
I don't know if its was 5 years, but I know that last year Silverado & Sierra outsold F-Series. Chevy did and did not outsold Ford last year, depending how you look at situation. Compared to numbers both companies showed at the end, Chevy outsold Ford. However, Ford later found out that Chevy used numbers of vehicles made, not vehicles sold, so Chevy was counting numbers of vehicles that are still at dealer's lots. "Bump" Look at the last November figures and I am right in what I said that the new GM pickups are going to hurt the Ford Motor Company big time. It is happening before your very eyes yet you refuse to accept the truth. You are going to go down with the Fordtanic. :titanic: I think you were proven wrong .. just changing the topic .. as usual .. Are you using Elbonian rules to prove me wrong? but I have better things to do on Friday night .. y'all have fun Igor Using North American rules I have proven myself right. Ford handily outsold Gm last November in pickups. Therefore GM pickups have not always outsold F-series. I said nothing about yearly sales. RichardJensen
Therefore GM pickups have not always outsold F-series. That is a mighty turnaround, Bluecon, as you were as recently as, oh, an HOUR AGO, insisting that GM had NEVER outsold FORD (edit) UNTIL THIS YEAR. Richard please note hateful personal attack above ... Thanks .. Igor If you don't mind, I'll let that one slide. Whole dang board knows he gaffed a big'un, and if all he does is insist that your rules are "Elbonian", that's not too bad. This is still something of a contact sport, y'know. Besides, he hasn't attacked you personally, just said that your reasoning was faulty. Edited December 1, 2006 by RichardJensen
