  1. This organic battery technology is the most promising development that I've seen. It could potentially replicate the convenience we experiance with liquid chemical fuels. http://www.cbc.ca/newsblogs/technology/quirks-quarks-blog/2014/01/organic-batteries-put-clean-electricity-future-within-sight.html http://www.seas.harvard.edu/news/2014/01/organic-mega-flow-battery-promises-breakthrough-for-renewable-energy
  2. That 'Stang looks good, but that is not Dark Highland Green paint.
  3. I can see a supercharged Coyote Mustang happening over a twin turbo.
  4. The term 'theory' is often confused (deliberately) with the term 'hypothesis'.
  5. Like democracy, free market capitalism is the least worst system.
  6. Dale Jr. is great in the music video for Matthew Good Band's Anti-Pop.
  7. The Cruze comes with a 6 speed manual and the Focus still shows up with the 5. That's disapointing.
  8. Its still better to shoot for BMW than Buick or Acura.
  9. 5.4 & 4.6 Mods are alive and well in the 2014 E-Series. Besides, the term "Modular" has more to do with the engine plant tooling than the engines themselves. From what I've read about V12 engines, you can use virtually any "V" angle because each bank is a perfectly balanced straight 6 configuration.
  10. Does the MOD V10 block have a differant (larger) water jacket design than the the MOD V8 blocks?
  11. Interesting comments. Was the "Hurricane" the cancelled "little brother"? Was it "little" because of smaller bore/stroke or was the block physically smaller (i.e. shorter deck)? Enquiring minds want to know! It's disapointing to read that the Boss had durability issues in the testing phase. The MOD V10 seems to be fairly durable so considering the Boss was suposed to take design cues from the MOD motors the new engine should have at least matched it in durability. Somebody really screwed the pooch on this one.
  12. I'd love to take your wife for a ride! I pun, I pun! Seriously... mighty fine automobile, sir.
  13. The "new" 3.5L is just a de-bored 3.7L. It will likely be getting the new Mid-Lock version of the Cam Torque Actuated phasers that the S550 Mustang engines are getting. http://www.borgwarner.com/en/MorseTEC/products/Pages/Cam-Torque.aspx Apparently better power output and fuel efficiency can be tuned into the engine with these new cam phasers. I haven't read anything about new heads for the Cyclone although I suspect that integrated exhaust manifolds are on the way, at least for the Ecoboost version.
  14. I wonder if the Nano V6 is a narrow "V" block design like the VW VR6? There'd be a lot of benefits to such a design... 1 less head, 2 less cams, 1 less turbo, simpler plumbing for the turbo system, better exhaust air pulse for the turbo, fits in 4 cylinder package space, etc.
  15. So you're thinking the RWD Lincoln is going to be a coupe?
  16. You better be good with a blow torch and welder if you want an SRA on your S550 Mustang. S550 has been confirmed by Ford as an all new RWD platform. It's obvious that Ford has bigger plans for S550 than just Mustang.
  17. The last auto racing video game I played was Test Drive on the C64. So it's been a while.
  18. That would also mean they are running without interior/dash lighting. If it is night time they should eventually clue in that something is wrong. I'm writing from experiance.
  19. I doubt you're crying much these days! What are you running now?
  20. When the 3.7L debuted in the 2011 Mustang and the test results started to roll in I almost cried. These "base" Mustangs are nearly as quick as my 2001 Bullitt. Oh well, that's the way of it. I need some Trick Flow heads, stat!
  21. The 5.0L is getting charge motion valves on the intake runners. They must have increased the intake port volume on the new heads so much that it was hurting low end torque.
  22. Beside the door lock switch there are some numbered buttons (1,2,3) which I would guess is for seat adjustment presets. Does the current Mustang have this feature?
  23. Looks like the S550 Mustang rear suspension will be derived from the Integral Link Independant Rear Suspension (ILIRS) from the CD4 platform (Fusion, MKZ). http://www.mustang6g.com/?p=574 The old control blade just couldn't cut it.
