  1. That looks almost like the Kermit the frog green from the 1970's Pinto, maverick and Mustang II models. But today's Mustang wears it well. I wouldn't buy it though. I'd rather see a british racing green or the greens of some of the 90's Fords.
  2. Also, when a hybrid comes to a stop, the engine shuts off to save gas. and you can make the car run on battery only provided you don't hit the throttle too hard. But to run the heat, the engine must run for the purpose listed above, which removes an advantage to the hybrid and costing more money to run as the engine will need to constantly run (or shorten shut off times).
  3. Datsun still sounds better than "Shitbox".
  4. This is me in the middle with my arms folded. If you see me in person, say hello.
  5. Tesla will probably be the next Delorean anyway. The whole company will be "bricked". It will be a better looking car for a "Back To The Future" remake.
  6. And at some point a CVT would just work better than say, an 18 speed automatic.
  7. Huh? tail lights. I was looking at the headlights!
  8. From the side it looks like some of the 50's era Saabs like the 92 and 93.
  9. "Hey, where's Dave?" "Dave, like everyone else in the world would have rather have died than drive a Chevy"
  10. That's because they cleared out the smoke.
  11. I'm surprised they aren't bitching about the car and saying Ford didn't tell them it was a pre production car. You know they are just going to put it in an 8 car comparison test and rank it near the bottom for some asinine reason like they always do. (Like the test of the Boss to the Zl1 instead of Shelby and ZL1)
  12. A Prius police car?!! I suppose in a city with so much traffic you can't move, you might as well. In Boston, there is so much traffic, that a high speed chase is where the officers and criminal jump out of their cars and start running.
  13. I was at the New England auto show yesterday. It did not have the new Escape or Fusion, but the brochure showed both of them. even without them Ford had the best line up in the show. It was one of the most busy displays. I agree with Borg about the my Ford Touch display in an Explorer. It was very slow. Ford also had a test drive event. I picked the Focus. The Focus was a car that seemed more classy and expensive than it was. Everything was smooth and quiet. The dual clutch worked fine. It was a little odd the way it got moving from a stop. It was like slowly lifting a clutch pedal on a manual. I tried to see if it would clunk like some people complained about. This must have been one with the new shift program because it was smoother than a real auto. So I tried to create the shift problem and I think I got close. It seems if you mash the pedal as it was trying to upshift, then it was a little awkward, but not so much than a regular auto. Other than a "delayed take off", the dual clutch was fine. Other car makers on a roll: Hyundai - A line up as competitive as Ford's Buick- Looked more expensive than it is. Great style and interior design! Sorry Borg, I liked the Encore. Chrysler (Includes Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, and Dodge tru-- er, sorry, Ram) Talk about getting your act together! Same cars, but much improved! But Fiat... Ho fatto la mia mente. Temo che non sarà sufficiente! Lemons: Acura. Sit in a $50, 000 car. Can you find anything in this car that may make it worth the money? The average interior? The five speed auto? Even the Honda brand looks upscale to this. It is the opposite of Buick. Scion. WTF?!! There was an IQ which looked like a toy car! If you drove that in Boston traffic you'd be dead! All the other cars looked like mutant spaceships. The sales staff looked like they got their drivers license yesterday. You'd have to be born yesterday to buy one. Toyota. They has big red "save money" signs on every car. "Attn Kmart shoppers... We're desperate!" The new Camry was there. I would have sat in one of them, but an old couple sat in in for fifteen minutes. I think they were spared death from old age because they died of boredom. I spared myself that fate by moving on. I may upload pics later, including the before and after MkS!
  14. AZ has the greatest variety of climate zones of any state in the union. (Maybe CA has more.)
  15. Don't you mean the Cortina because of RWD ect... In all seriousness you have made some good points. It is probably a combo of the high transaction price when others are fire selling their cars, cheaper gas, the old Fusion and Escape deals, and the bad rap on the MFT and DCT (in the case of the Focus). These problems should take care of themselves over time and Ford should make sure no MFT or DCT-like problems show up in the future. It's time to move forward, never backwards.
  16. They could call it George for all I care. I hope they just build it.
  17. Its true that a concept will not save Lincoln. It's the production model and the others that will follow. Did the Ford GT save Ford in 2004?
  18. I don't think this is without merit. It would compete with a Honda Fit or a Scion xB. It is also much better looking than the Juke!
  19. You can customize them! Just put in a milk crate to sit on and use a frisbee as the steering wheel.
  20. Then again, Porsche is Porsche and Acura is Acura. Porsche could make a tricycle hit speeds of 185 with 600 hp. Honda's track record for sporty cars hasn't been as good lately.
  21. Apparently not if even Lincoln can't decide how it should look.
  22. A hybrid?!! Even the most staunch Acura fan just lost his boner.
