  1. It also solves the issue of the next MKS being based on the same platform as the next MKZ.
  2. Funny. I assume they could use the Borrego underpinnings. They cancelled it after what, a year?
  3. I'll be the first to admit that the MK names can be confusing (Though I would argue no more than other makes). But I always laugh when people long for certain names (Caddy folk seem to do this too). I prefer MKS to "Continental". MKZ to "Zephyr" or "LS". I suppose MKX or Aviator were toss-ups. The Caddy ones are even worse. Really? Catera vs. CTS? Deville/Seville vs. DTS/STS? I just don't see it.
  4. I would hope Ford is a little more protective now. Remember, the COTY was almost a Futura. Thank you Pepboys.
  5. I actually really like the sedan too...
  6. It's usually midnight EST, but it could also be the unveiling tomorrow.
  7. The "Global" 6 is smaller than the NA Mazda6 though, right? ETA: It appears the global is about 6 inches shorter than the NA Mazda6. Unfortunately in looking it up I stumbled across the Mazda6 Estate. I am going to go to my room a sulk.
  8. The dimensions are from Edmunds, so I guess they could be off, but I find it hard to believe. Did you sit in a 2009+ Mazda6? (The previous gen was definitely smaller)
  9. The 6 is longer than the Fusion and is nearly identical in most dimensions. Fusion - Exterior Length: 190.6 in. Width: 72.2 in. Height: 56.9 in. Wheel Base: 107.4 in. Curb Weight: 3638 lbs. Interior Front Head Room: 38.7 in. Front Hip Room: 54 in. Front Shoulder Room: 57.4 in. Rear Head Room: 37.8 in. Rear Shoulder Room: 56.5 in. Rear Hip Room: 53.3 in. Front Leg Room: 42.3 in. Rear Leg Room: 37.1 in. Luggage Capacity: 16.5 cu. ft. Maximum Seating: 5 Mazda6 - Exterior Length: 193.7 in. Width: 72.4 in. Height: 57.9 in. Wheel Base: 109.8 in. Ground Clearance: 5.1 in. Curb Weight: 3547 lbs. Gross Weight: 4590 lbs. Interior Front Head Room: 38.1 in. Front Hip Room: 55.1 in. Front Shoulder Room: 57.3 in. Rear Head Room: 37.3 in. Rear Shoulder Room: 56.5 in. 10. I had a UVO once. Couple days of antibiotics and it cleared up no problem.
  11. What "SYNC" is is defined by Ford. They should be reinforcing the brand rather than trying to create a seperate brand.
  12. Yuck. The embargoed photos posted elsewhere are better looking, but the front is pretty bad.
  13. The only thing I'm not digging is the branding. They should have continued to reinforce the SYNC branding "MyFord/Lincoln Touch" is a mouthful. Should have been "SYNC with TouchCommand" or something like that.
  14. I don't believe so either. OAC getting CD4 Taurus/MKS and CD4 Edge/MKX makes sense IMHO. It could provide some additional capacity for Fusion as well. Chicago would then be D4 Explorer, Interceptor, MKT.
  15. Chicago is building Explorer. While Chicago is "flex" I don't believe it has the ability to build two platforms. I could see Explorer/Interceptor/MKT in Chicago and MKS/Taurus to OAC.
  16. Are you talking about the current D30 or a 3.0 Cyclone? I don't believe there is much reason to continue to improve the current D30.
  17. I'd love a TC with a consumer interior. I'm not sure element owners read their manuals. The Element has a Payload Capacity of 675#.
  18. Wonder if/when/where they'll show a Crew Cab Raptor. I don't see Focus and Explorer unveiled at the same show, they'd rob too much press from each other.
  19. ~110,000 3.0 Duratec V6 2003 Escape When I had the oil changed once the attendant came in to talk to the owner of a late 80s Ranger. Assuming the odometer had rolled, he asked if it had 186,000 miles. No, the owner replied, it had 486,000 and was the original engine.
