Yes they will...And I would rather tell them that daddy lost his job for something he believes in then tell them sorry, we can't afford the house anymore because I'm only getting half of my sub pay now. I've been in the real world, and if I have to I will work two jobs (again). Nothing at work, with the company or the union is about ME. Everthing I do is (and always will be) for my family. So yes, I will be thinking of them when I vote NO.

  4. Thats a good question...What area/shift do you work at body? They got me on the door closure line on days right now. They tried to tell me I was going to C-crew because of the Rawsonville transfers...I said bullshit, they can go to work available and bump later. Now they tell me they will be getting me on B-crew as soon as possible...which is what I wanted. I'd like to go back to final though. Don't get me wrong, body shop is okay to work but I HATE wearing the sleeves man!!

  6. 1 & 2. C-crew operations. A-crew:Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm B-crew:Tues-Fri, 5:30pm-4am C-crew:Fri/Sat, 6am-4:30pm and Sun/Mon, 5:30pm-4am 3.Yes, for the most part. This will depend mostly on who comes to the Rouge and what seniority they have. 4.Don't know for sure...But I would assume all local plants.
  7. BS, people have had their nose in our business for years...For whatever their personal reasons. Also the workers are not begging...And it's only GM and Chrysler.
  8. Yeah, because we all know ONLY Ford workers do this...No industry/workplace has this problem but Ford...we's all jus a bunch of uneducted, drunken uaw slobs.
  9. 1.I am a Ford employee 2.One group 3.Our benefits and wages are equal to or lower than import workers. It's the legacy costs that make it seem more. The union is for the person who can't fight by his/her self. Yes there is OSHA and Govt. regulations...but that does not protect you from an abusive supervisor (believe me I've worked for a few).
  10. Heard on Fox 2 news (Detroit) that toyota will not build anything at thier new Mississippi plant due to lack of sales...However, everyone hired to work there will still have a job...Doing nothing
  11. Heard on local news tonight (fox 2 Detroit) that toyota has decided not to build the prius there...However all people hired to work there will still have jobs...and get paid to do nothing...

  14. When sheeple started to follow the corporate mind set that "unskilled" labor should only be paid minimum wage and that those that go to collage are "better' than those that don't. These are the same people who believe everyone should pay for their own insurance because they do. These are the same people that believe there should be no pensions because they don't have one. These people who think they are better then everyone of us, but are pissed we have something they don't.....Skills.

  16. No exact word on the date from anyone...I heard someone (not sure who,when or where) say the 19th. As far as working hard...At least everyone else got a ramp up for working. We got thrown in at near full speed...It's the end of my 2nd week and my hands are almost use to working again. It's not like the coming back from vacation pain...It's more like the first time walking into a plant pain. By the end of next week I should be full into my working grove again. I'm also working days now instead of afternoons :happy feet: .
  17. Talked to Nick today. He said no holiday pay if we are off more than two weeks before the holiday. He also said we (the ILO's called back for temp work) might be "absorbed" and stay the rest of the year to cover manpower shortage.

  19. Thanks for getting back to my question. Still don't know why they just don't keep us at final till the end of the year...It's not like the extra people could hurt, most teams have just enough people to run.

  22. So, I was part of the 100 or so called back to DTP till the end of November. Handout today said we would be put back on ILO for December. 1). Should it not be TLO since we know we are coming back in January? 2). Do we still get Christmas holiday pay or do we call MARVIN for those weeks? There was a lot of people wanting to talk to Nick and the others and I just wanted to get home otherwise I would of asked them.
