  1. Thank you very much. I will look at the underside of mine for the pre-drilled holes. I have a 2015 which had an engine change from the V-8. It has the 3.5 V-6 Ecoboost engine so the skid plates may have changed for the engine and transer case. I will check with the part's department of the Ford dealership where I bought it.
  2. Thank you very, very much. Are the first two skid plates listed the ones for the engine and transfer case? Those are the ones that I am interested in. Were the mounting holes present for the engine and transfer case skid plates? Are the plates held on with bolts and nuts, and not a threaded nut that threads into an existing tapped hole? I will not be adding the fuel tank skid plates. Thank you again!
  3. Could you tell me how many you had added? Does your work order list the part number(s)? If so, could you provide them for me? Thank you. (I own a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4).
  4. I'm not sure if this will help. I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 with the 12-speaker Sony sound system. I have been buying cars for more than 40 years. This is the best sound system I have ever had in a motor vehicle. I do not care for the "thumping bass" sound so I do not tune my system for that. Excellent system.
  5. Replace the ambient air temperature sensor - it plugs in to a connector behind the grill. Check the connector for corrosion as that could also affect the reading.
  6. I have the head up display in my Corvette - I really like the feature. I am surprised that Ford does not offer a basic HUD unit. I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited and was surprised at the lack of some features.
  7. I ordered and purchased a new 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4. The salesman told me that I could not order DRL's (even at extra cost) unless I made a fleet purchase. It was almost a deal breaker as I believe very strongly in DRL's. As such, I turn on my headlights and foglights when I drive in the daytime (I live and drive in rural areas). I was amazed that Ford would not even offer this safety feature to a customer - even at an extra cost.
  8. Interesting. That information was not on the Ford Expediton web site, the Expedition sales brochure, the 2015 Expedition order guide, or in my vehicle owner's manual. The salesman did not mention it when I ordered the vehicle and asked about ordering the DRL feature. He stated it was "fleet only". What must be done to activate the DRL feature? It would be nice if this was told to customers prior to purchase, so the feature could be activated during the PDI process - before the customer takes delivery of the new vehicle.
  9. I agree 100%. I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 (with the standard 20" wheels & tires). Later when I checked the "full size spare" - I learned Ford only provides an 18" spare wheel and tire, although the customer pays more than $9,000 extra for the Limited. The Ford brochure and web site stated a full size spare was standard. My other vehicles are GM with daytime running lights. I often drive in rural areas so I always manually turn on the headlamps and fog lamps when driving in the daytime.
  10. Thank you (I ordered / bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4).
  11. Perhaps for every Ford built in Mexico and shipped to the USA, the US government could deport a dozen illegal immigrents - especially the violent, dangerous criminals and parasites that our President has permitted to enter the USA.
  12. Thank you for the update. I ordered a new 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 in February 2015, and puchased it at the end of March when it arrived. When I placed the order, I was surprised that a limited-slip rear differential was not available. I wanted to get it but could not. I also wanted to order daytime running lights but was told that it was only available on the fleet orders. Does anyone know why Ford did not offer a limited-slip rear differential on the 2015 Expedtion until now (almost the end of the model year) and daytime running lights for retail customers?
  13. Hello, Please disregard my status request for: 1FMJU2AT7FEF35038. The salesman just called and said the vehicle was delivered this afternoon to the dealership. (Built on 3/23/15 and at the dealership on 3/26/15 - but the dealership is only 120 miles from the plant.) Thank you for all your help. I will post pictures when I can.
  14. AJVLOPE, I have a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4 x 4 on order - build date was 3/23/2015. I live in the Midwest with lots of hills, cold winters, and no 100% gasoline (only E-10, thanks to the Federal Government). I drive lots of back roads and State highways (not expressways). Your post makes me hopeful that I will achieve close to the rated mileage (15 city / 20 highway).
  15. Hello, Can you provide an updated status for: 1FMJU2AT7FEF35038 Thank you.
  16. The printed order guide he provided me showed the Limited 4 x 4 standard wheels are 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels (first picture above) with 275/55R20 AT BSW tires. The rear-wheel drive model gets 275/55R20 AS BSW tires standard. The picture above shows the all terrain tires on the 20" polished wheel. The XLT model has 18" wheels and tires standard, but I did not want the XLT model. The first wheel pictured above is the wheel that was on other Limited 4 x 4 models on the lot and had the all terrain tires. The dealership did not have any rear-wheel drive models in stock, but he said the guide showed those models received all season tires. Since the wheel and tire sizes are identical, I didn't understand why he was not permitted to order the all season tires on the 4 x 4 model.
  17. I recently ordered a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited - with the 20" standard wheels and tires. I did not like that the vehicle came with all terrain tires. The salesperson said I could not specify an all season tire, unless I purchased the optional 22" inch tire and wheel package (which I did not want). Although I ordered the vehicle, the tires were almost a deal breaker. Does anyone know why Ford does not put all season tires on the standard 20" wheels on the Limited? Thank you.

  19. If you have a Hybrid to give away, you should contact the original poster above...........
  20. You're the man for Mercury? After watching their commercials, I thought Mercury was being marketed for women only......................
  21. How would you anticipate a deer darting into the path of your vehicle or a car backing out of a driveway into your lane of travel (or any other "unforseen emergency")? Hard braking is not always the result of driver inattention or a driver following another vehicle too closely.
  22. Demo is another word for used. If the car was not sold and titled to someone else, but "miles" put on it, it has still been used - and is not new. It may not be a used car in the sense that it was sold, then purchased again by another consumer. New cars used as demo's are often abused by dealership employees and customers test driving them. NO ONE should buy a new vehicle (even a demo.....) without thoroughly test driving it, and examining every feature to see that everything works and is asssembled correctly.
