  1. But then he makes a generalizing statement about Model 3 production meeting expectations (which they never have done) and stock prices jump. Go figure... https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/06/06/tesla-shareholder-meeting-elon-musk-reveals-automakers-factory-plans.html
  2. Apparently things arent all roses over at Tesla. It seems there are some that are questioning peoples ability to run an auto company. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Technology/wireStory/tesla-shareholders-reject-bid-strip-musk-chairman-role-55676119
  3. Didnt Ford have an in-house hydraulic hybrid system they were testing some time ago that is similar to this? I was surprised it never materialized as I thought the concept was good. Perhaps Ford was working with this company back then, but I dont recall.
  4. I have to disagree with you on this one. Im not a coolaide drinker, as the Fusion refresh was really pretty pathetic. I dont feel that way about the Edge. Considering its a refresh and not a new model, Its much better.
  5. You will probably be looking for that imaginary brake pedal on the passenger side a few times, lol. It can be frustrating at times but they usually pick it up reasonably quick. Their attention span is a little concerning periodically. My son got his DL in March. He seems to be doing well, but its still a little worrisome when they are out on their own. I know Missouri country roads pretty well, and those would make me nervous for them. Not much give on those roads, as basically you go from road to ditch since there never seems to be a shoulder. Not to mention they rarely seem to be straight. On the upside, they all seem to be paved, unlike the country roads I grew up with, which were gravel.
  6. I think the exterior change is sufficient however the lack of interior changes is a little disappointing.
  7. Unfortunately the Escape is no longer a compelling product compared to the competition. This situation wont improve until the next gen arrives.
  8. At this point I think I would pay more for a Dodge than a Chrysler. I dont think the Chryslers reflect a higher end vehicle with people anymore.
  9. Totally agree, I do the same. There are lots of great little gems out there.
  10. Five Guys is good, but you are right, it isnt a cheap place to eat. Im not sure $40 will cover your five lol. I love Chick Fil A, probably too much actually. There service is first rate.
  11. Agreed, it could have been something built overseas.
  12. Wouldn't it be prudent of Ford to offer some competitive lease rates on the Continental and the MKZ to get people in a Lincoln? The lease could carry those people for the next couple years so they could be put into the next gen SUVs. Almost like a loss leader, if they arent making any money on cars.
  13. I would not underestimate Ram. They have been relatively innovative and they have the Mopar Ram Runner package that can be added to their trucks which is very competent.
  14. Im welcoming the competition. It will only make the trucks better.
  15. My Mom has a Caddi SRX she will be replacing within the year. She historically has had Cadillacs, and the XT5 will be on her list. Historically I wouldnt have suggested the MKX but I have been around the a few of them more recently and Ive come to realize they are quite nice, and have some very good lines. I really like the new front on the 2019 and it is a nice evolution of the model. I will be encouraging her to take a look at it. On a side note, the Caddi CUE system in her car is a horrible system and not user friendly at all.
  16. A three row Grand Cherokee will be interesting. Ive never considered the Grand Cherokee because its lack of a third row.
  17. And you are getting a heck of a lot more vehicle with the Navigator as well.
  18. You made me laugh out loud? Seriously though, this will be good for Ford Raptor buyers, as this means Ford will have to respond to whatever it is they come up with. It could mean a V8 at some point. Things are about to get interesting. I cant imagine Chevy will not get into this game after Ram joins in.
  19. I think this is what makes this decision fairly low risk. They have 2 to 3 years to evaluate whether to add the Fusion back if the Sedan market were suddenly become more viable again. This doesnt mean I like the idea of dropping it, but there is flexibility.
  20. Might I suggest you worry less about what other people are doing with their money. Do you really think the average Mercedes or Range Rover driver thinks of an F Series as a vehicle on par with theirs? I can assure you they dont, so what kind of status symbol is that?
  21. Im glad to hear that Anthony. Hopefully you are more the norm and not exception.
  22. Does look like they may have gotten rid of the master antenna. Some people hate the mast antenna but I guess it never bothered me.
  23. The only thing that will compel me to trade my 2017 in is a V-8.
