But what Ford might do is move the production of the Expy and Navi from Michigan truck to Dearborn and that way they can expand the line and make space for the C1 since Wayne Assembly will have in 2011 the Cmax too and all Ford needs to do is retool Wayne Assembly and Michigan truck to C1 only but make the assembly line flexible enough to build different versions of c1 if its a volvo mazda or ford in the same assembly line.

  3. they used to build the Focus in Hermosillo but when the hatch and wagon version where dropped they moved all the production back to the states because at the time they started the expansion and retooling of hermosillo for the trio

  5. as I have said in other treads Volvo problem atleast here in the states is the exchange ratio and the hipg prices for their cars, what Ford should do here in the states is move some of Volvos production here and bring the R line back but with the Ecoboost

  8. the boss will make it to the mustang but as a Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8 competitor, the base v8 engine will be the new 5.0 400hp engine, I can imagine that they could make a bullit lets say with only DI at 450 and the top of the line Mustang Boss with DI and twin turbo at more than 600
  9. it could be considering that Bill Jr and his father own a little more of 8 million common shares and maybe some of the other family members have a couple million shares more they could be close
  10. and I dont see it happening with the Ford family there, all they got to do is buy about 11% of the common stock and they can have a 51% of the vote, I bet they will do it if they feal some threat and read this

The ecosport was coming to the states but MF decided that Ford them to bring the Sport Stateside it will need to comply with US regulations and that meant investing money Ford didnt have at the time and the quality was not where it needs to be and thats why they decided it was easier invest in the current escape and as all you can say it was not a bad decision but I bet that this Ecosport, the kuga and our Escape will be merged somehow

But do you guys think that if Tracinda tries to do this Bill and the family will stay like nothing is happening, and if a family member plans on selling there shares , the family members have the first right to buy there shares and thats why Elena Ford said that if any member wanted to sell she would buy them and if Im correct there is a family fund too that if a member wants to sell the family can buy them through that fund and read this and you will understand why this will never happen
  13. Apparently this person doesnt read too much about the Ford plans. Ford Global Fiesta Ford Global Focus Ford Fusion and Mondeo Merged by 2012 Ford Kuga and Escape Merged by 2012 Ford Falcon and CV merged by 2012 and another thing is that the American people will not want to pay the price of EU Ford because those cars have more content that the cars in the US , just ask GM why the Astra after being applauded by everyone is lagging in the sales, Americans like me want cars with more hp that the EU version and not as costly as them and this guy should ask Toyota why they are sucking so bad in Europe and why Honda sells a different Civic in the states and in Europe and the same goes to Toyota

  16. I think GM will make a big mistake by making the traverse a 7 seater instead of a 5 seater, not a lot of people needs room for 5
  17. I wonder on what plant will Ford decide to build the C1 Focus since I bet that if decide to do it on the Wayne plant they will have to start retooling the plant by late 08 and if the demand of the focus keeps growing what will the plans be
  18. the inline 6 3.3 replaced the 2.8 by mid 79 because of supplies problems and this inline was used until 1983 when it was replaced with the 3.8 Essex

  20. that is correct except the mustang was the SVO and not the gt and this was the only time the mustang didnt offer a v6, and dont forget the TBird Turbo coupe from 1983 to 1988 and the Cougar Turbo was used un 1981 and then in 1985 and 86

The smallish Volvo sells about 3 times what Lincoln sells stateside but globally, the problem with Volvo is that since the Kronoa its strong against the dollar any profit that volvo was making globally bringing it here to the states and keep the price competitive is hurting them or why do you think BMW lossed this quarter 300 million + and a lot of manufacturers are planning on building here in the states . IMO what Ford should do is since the 2010 focus is going to the C1 and the 2012 fusion is merging on EUCD 2 they could use one line in the US plants to build some volvos here and even export them to South America and bring the R line back with more power and not as a dressup kit
