I dont see my job headding to mexico... I don't ASK for more money than I'm worth (pay for perfomance, not seniority). I PAY money towards my benefits ($40 per paycheck... 80 per month). And I have to SAVE for my retirement (401k). Anyone who thinkt they can get a ton of moeny to put screws in, free benefits and a fully paid retirement without fear of the company some day not being able to afford them is a moron as far as im concerend. I know this will light a fire under some peoples' asses... but I dont really car. Ford and GM have for too long let the UAW rape them without the vasaline. If I were in charge of Ford I woul file for bankruptcy now to get out of the union contracts. THen hire workers at a fair rate (not more than $20 an hour to bolt shit together) make them contribute to their medical. And offer them a 401k with UP TO $1500 a year matching contributions. I dont give a shit where my car was built. Its put together alot better than my mom's 03 SVT Focus, and her 00 focus, and he 96 windstar, and her 93 explorer all were. You can build a good vehicle for not alot of money. And I still support an american company who employs thousands of americans... but not the union ones. I dont belive in unions these days. There is no need for a union today. Maybe 50 years there was, but not today.

But like all high HP hondas it will most likely require prenium to get that amount of power out of it where the 3.5 will run on regular.

Nice buy! I just picked up my 06 SEL v6 this past saturday and I love it. I had x-plan to and paid just over 23k for mine I got blue with black leather (white stitiching) every option except the sunroof. I love this car!

I just bought a Fusion SEL V6 this weekend. I am happy with the power. It does fine for me. Then again I am coming from a 165 HP Mazda B-3000 4x4.... SLLLOOOOWWWW....

How does that urea thing work anyway? Do you buy the stuff or does your car have a gas filler with a urinal right next to it? And how often do you have to refil it? every tank? every oil change? every 6 beers?

I went down yesterday. I'm picking up my loaded Fusion SEL V6 tomorrow afternoon.... for less per month that the 06 Civic LX, Mazda3, or Scion TC I was considering. I cant wait. Blue with black leather (white stitching of course)

I dont know... my grandfather used to have a 97 Grand Marquis (my brother bought it from him) It has 147k miles on it and still runs like its brand new.... The car had NO problems and and all he did was conplain about it. come to think about it I have never meet an old person who didnt complain aobut something.... but this reminds me of a quote I read once. I dont remember who said it but it was, "It's not that Buicks are reliable. It's that their owners are too old to remember the problems they have had." It was in response to the JD powers results from 2 or 3 years ago.

the 3.8 will pop a head gasket if it wasnt cared for. And the 4.6 actually gets much better gas milage than the 3.8 in a tbird

I agree with Fields that they shouldnt do it until they can do it right. They just need to do it right quickly... If they bring a cheap econobox to the market quickly that only competes on price then the young people (like me) buying them will realize its a big POS and never return to the brand when they are ready to step up.

they actually fall VERY fast of the gas cylinder fails. I got hit a few times by my Bronco II tailgate when the struts failed and it came down FAST... and that thing is made of fiberglass not metal like the sienna tailgate. besides, most people that drive minivans dont have a clue how the tailgate is held up or how gravity is working against it.

wait... let me get this straight. The airbag will deploy if the harness come unplugged? That doesnt seem like a good design to me.

It contains 4700 Mazdas. 70% are Mazda3, 30% CX-7.... there goes any hope fo getting a good deal on a new Mazda 3. that will make supplies even tighter... no word on the condition of the cars inside.

I'm no expert here. But I think most companies make almost nothing if anythting at all on small cars. The reason they sell at a loss is to get repeat business. If the customer Likes the car and how they were treated during the life of the car then they will come back and buy a bigger one next time where the company will actually make money.

It will be the most popular jet with kids 16-18 years old and still in highschool. It will have the option of an ungodly loud music system, 20" landing gear, annoying exhaust sounds, and an AEM intake..... YO!

I like the Focus hatchback. When you see young people driving a Focus they tend to drive the hatchback and not the sedan. Most Foci i see around here when in the sedan form have that little enterprise "e" sticker on it. The hatchback is usually driven by a younger person with a bike on the top or the back. I think ford is insane if they kill the hatch. their justification is probably something along the line of: these young people wont stop buying focus haches damnit! It's canabalizing v6 mustang sales! We gotta kill the hatchback before it gets worse!"

I know Ford and GM should have more.. but if 2.5 companies together sell almost as much as 20-something other companies combined, they are still doing pretty good... and do those numbers include amrican owned foreign brands? (mazda, PAG, SAAB, etc)

MDS in a Hemi turns a poweful v8 into a fuel-sipping four cylinder.... one that gets 18 MPG highway.... actually I think they got it up to 20 MPG for 07 but no one will ever see that unless they drive downhill for a full tank.

Thats becasue they didnt redesign it. all they did on the "all new" camry was front, rear, and interior. everyhting else carried over

okay, so now im pissed about this. I went there yesterday and they gave me an x-plan price of $16900 for the car. Then a $1000 rebate and 4.9% interest. i was expecting MUCH lower. I was expecting the car to come out under or around $14,000 when all was done before TTL. But the kicker. They offered me $3000 for my trade!!! a 2000 Mazda B-3000 SE Cab Plus 4x4 with 77,800 miles in perfect condition! KBB rates the truck at $6,000-6500 for trade in value. even Honda and Scion offered me $5000 for it. I walked out.
