  1. This is most likely the replacement for the current Bronco Sport - making it larger for CAFE compliance. So calling it Flex would kill the Bronco Sport name.
  2. So you want to ditch a 50+ yr old Ford Iconic name that exudes toughness for a great but quirky vehicle name that only lasted 10 years?
  3. This will make a much better edge/escape replacement.
  4. This. And going too far by trying to ban ICE altogether.
  5. Ok I’ll give you that one but isn’t it possible that 2024 was an outlier for some reason.
  6. Yep. It might actually have a small 3rd row like the Chinese edge.
  7. Which is still far higher than 100 which was the norm for decades. Seems to be a combination of the larger studs, and larger aluminum wheels.
  8. That might be the most ridiculous thing you’ve said here. Fleet sales are intermittent and one slightly down quarter means nothing. It’s still on track for over $5B profit for the year .
  9. Ultium offers 3 motors - 242 hp, 371 and 83 hp AWD assist. Larger more expensive vehicles use 1, 2 or 3 of the two more powerful motors. Cheaper vehicles (which was the subject at hand) would use the 242 hp motor and the AWD assist motor which goes in the rear. So deleting the rear assist motor leaves you with FWD. Not worth changing to RWD in that case.
  10. I still think doing both ICE and pure EV compromises both but we’ll see. It worked ok for F150.
  11. That’s probably dictated more by the AWD setup which uses a smaller motor in the rear.
  12. For a pure EV platform I see no difference in single motor fwd vs rwd. The batteries don’t move.
  13. Been that way for years. I think it’s because they switched to larger diameter studs and/or larger heavier wheels.
  14. Ford had to prepare for the EV onslaught especially with pending government mandates. Where they screwed the pooch was sacrificing hybrid expansion, Edge and Nautilus to do it and choosing the wrong products (3 row utilities) as well as failed partnerships. They should have hedged their bets more.
  15. It would be fun to hear him spin what’s happened the last 2 years. For a few minutes. 😂
  16. It’s still readable on my ipad behind the pop up. Here is a different summary.
  17. It’s not a setting you can see, it’s how the Google maps app interacts with CarPlay. They’re either using an older version of the CarPlay interface that doesn’t support the HUD (most likely) or they aren’t enabling it when they make the function calls. This feature would require a significant amount of testing.
  18. Fleet/Commercial sales are highly irregular so you can’t make any judgements on one or even two months. E transit sales are up slightly YTD so it’s way too early to panic.
  19. Can we just vote to secede them from the union?
  20. You said you were planning to get a hybrid I just assumed you meant the Explorer hybrid. I wasn’t sure when they discontinued them.
  21. Probably requires something in the app to enable it. Apple did it for maps because they own both the maps and CarPlay while Google hasn’t changed it (yet).
