What makes you so sure the new platform won't accomodate a Lincoln version? Remember the Lincoln team has been in place during platform development so if they chose to use this platform they've had plenty of input from the beginning as opposed to being forced to take a Mustang platform and use it as is. I think that they are looking to put more products on this platform from both Ford and Lincoln, just like GM is doing.

My biggest issue is that focusing on assault weapons and other gun control ignores the real root causes and potential solutions. Making guns illegal will not prevent people from getting them if they really want them and any nut job can walk into an unprotected school with a handgun or a kitchen knife and cause similar mayhem.

Winter blend fuel AND colder temps in a hybrid - yes. It's simple physics. And it doesn't affect only Ford - it affects all hybrids.

Ford does not control gasoline formulations. The don't control the fuel that the EPA uses and they don't control the use of winter blend fuel and/or E-10 both of which lower mileage. They are also required by law to show the EPA mileage on the window sticker as determined by the aforementioned EPA test procedures. Part of the drop in winter is due to colder temps requiring more ICE operation. This is not unique to Ford. That's just how hybrids and the EPA testing work.

That's the dealer allocation that I referred to. The more vehicles a dealer sells the more they get. A top dealer may get 5 vehicles in each allocation whereas a small dealer might only get 1.

She was referring to the F150 3.5L EB probems, not MFT and DCT. MFT problems were widespread and serious initially but now it seems limited to folks with bad APIMs. The software itself is stable.
