  1. I don't remember Ford having problems selling any minivans until they changed it from Windstar to Freestar. Dumbest movie. Still don't understand it. Being that Ford has been out of the minivan market for so long, they'd have to spend a lot of dough to market that thing.
  2. So when will the Expedition be getting a complete redesign? I know its not a top priority, but I'm positive sales will pick up some once a redesigned model is launched. I guess with gas prices rising once again its being pushed back to the back-burner.
  3. When are they supposed to release it? If you know.
  4. Interesting................soooo are we going to see any pics of the Escape concept tonight?! Thats what I'm most interesting in at the moment.
  5. I see Ford's car lineup in sales ranked as: Focus, Fusion, Fiesta, Taurus. With the Fusion occasionally outselling the Focus in a given month. I do think the Fiesta will sale quite well. But the Focus as well as its competitors will outsell the Fiesta. IMO.
  6. The list itself is the top 20, but there are only four Fords in the top 10.
  7. Idk if anyone has, but I sure am interested in what they are......
  8. Ummm...shouldn't the Altima be ahead of the Prius?
  9. True compared to years ago its good. When I saw those two numbers 118,000 and 158,000 I was like wow. But thinking about it now its not bad. I also wonder how the Equinox did compared to the Escape.
  10. So retail was 118,000 and with fleet was 158,000? Thats a lot of fleet huh?
  11. I asked the same thing on the thread over at GMI. But I asked if it was 15,000. I think your right though Pioneer.
  12. I actually like Wal-Mart, but I hate going because there are so many people shopping!
  13. Ford Motor Company Statement on Proposed Congressional Automotive Industry Bill DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 8 – As we told Congress, Ford is in a different position. We do not face a near-term liquidity issue, and we will not be seeking a short term bridge loan. But Ford fully supports an effort to address the near-term liquidity issues of GM and Chrysler, as our industry is highly interdependent and a failure of one of our competitors could affect us all. http://media.ford.com/article_displa...ticle_id=29549 U.S. Could Take Stakes in Big 3 Bailout Plan Gives Government Warrants in Exchange for Loans; Passage Uncertain By GREG HITT WASHINGTON -- Congress and the White House inched toward a financial rescue of the Big Three auto makers, negotiating legislation that would give the U.S. government a substantial ownership stake in the industry and a central role in its restructuring. Under terms of the draft legislation, which continued to evolve Monday evening, the government would receive warrants for stock equivalent to at least 20% of the loans any company receives. The company also would have to agree to limits on executive compensation and dividend payments, much like those contained in the government's $700 billion rescue of the financial industry. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122875608562688401.html The nationalization of the American auto industry. I'm glad Ford is trying to steer clear.
  14. Maybe it will help.....but then again this is the evening news program with the least amount of viewers! Poor Katie, you should have stayed at NBC (she's the Chrysler of the evening news ha)!!!
  15. 2011 Ford C-Max [spied] July 9, 2008 With gas prices at record highs, automakers are scrambling to develop more fuel efficient models. While some automakers are developing all-new cars from scratch, Ford realized that it didn’t have to look any farther than its current European lineup for fuel-saving models. One of those models that will be making the trek across the pond is the Blue Oval’s C-Max, which are spy photographers just spotted while testing in the wild. 16. 2010 Ford Taurus [spied] July 9, 2008 In January, Ford announced it would make the unprecedented move of redesigning its Taurus sedan, and our spy photographers have now spotted the first running prototypes of the next Taurus while undergoing testing in Michigan. The current Ford Taurus was unveiled in early 2007 as the 2008 Ford Five Hundred. It was then renamed to Taurus in an effort to take advantage of the nameplate’s strong mindshare. The car was “facelifted” to give it more style than the original 2005 Five Hundred. Unfortunately, the move was not enough to boost sales or public perception of the model. As a result, Ford CEO Alan Mulally ordered a complete redesign. Less than six months ago, he told the press the 2010 Taurus would be “the one we should have made originally.” More at link:http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-taurus-2010.html
  17. Maybe the taurus will stay american specific
