  1. Don't give up hope yet... our Expedition also got the "sent offsite" primary status but it was just due to "awaiting shipment". It was then released a few days later. I believe there are additional offsite storage lots that they ship from, maybe it depends on your ramp assignment. Hope you get an ETA soon!
  2. It's finally been produced! The hybrids don't seem to be following normal status timelines, here's mine so far: 11/22 - window sticker released with 12/02 blend date, but no invoice generated 12/01 - the date near the center of bottom boarder on window sticker changed from 11/22 to 12/01, blend date remained 12/02 12/04 - dealer received the invoice 12/05 - produced date 12/22 - eta end date So it's looking like "my wife's" Christmas present will be arriving just in time!!!
  3. It sounds like the Mach-e with sync4 will be the first to get WiFi pcm/module updates.
  4. The actual ratings are on the released window stickers for GT orders with "in production" status, mustangchief posted his window sticker in his Grand Touring Sticker thread. The GT EPA Ratings are: Gasoline only - 23 MPG combined; Electric + Gas - 56 MPGe combined (with 2.6 hour charge @ 240V); Electric range - 21 miles; Total range - 460 miles; Annual fuel cost - $1500 based on 15000 miles @ $2.70 per Gallon and $0.13 per KW-hr.
  5. Their review has far more inconsistencies than their claimed GT performance: 27 photos and all of them are the same regular GT, not a Black Label GT as tested and listed in their chart; they fail to detail what tests if any were conducted by starting out with a fully charged battery or what driving modes were used; they neglect to state the test vehicle(s) was still a pre or early production unit with no GTs delivered yet; their EPA Ratings are incorrect, the actual ratings from the window stickers are: Gasoline only - 23 MPG combined, Electric + Gas - 56 MPGe combined (with 2.6 hour charge @ 240V), Electric range - 21 miles, Total range - 460 miles, Annual fuel cost - $1500 based on 15000 miles @ $2.70 per Gallon and $0.13 per KW-hr. The whole write-up seems hurried and brief with no detail and they didn't even bother to take a couple photos of the actual Black Label they ended up testing... or did they just think it was a Black Label??
  6. If it runs rough until it warms a little after you get it started, try replacing the idle air control (IAC) valve.
  7. Their review has more inconsistencies than the GTs claimed throttle response: 27 photos and all of them are the same regular GT, not a Black Label GT as tested and listed in their chart; the EPA ratings are incorrect; they fail to detail what tests if any were conducted by starting out with a fully charged battery; they don't state that this is still a pre or early production unit or what driving modes were used.
  8. Now that's a real truck... it could squash that "bulletproof" Tesla thing like a bug!!!
  9. Drum roll please... GT EPA Ratings: Gasoline only - 23 MPG combined; Electric + Gas - 56 MPGe combined (with 2.6 hour charge @ 240V); Electric range - 21 miles; Total range - 460 miles; Annual fuel cost - $1500 based on 15000 miles @ $2.70 per Gallon and $0.13 per KW-hr.
  10. The GTs range on windowsticker is a little better than the 18 miles previously discussed... is it OK to post the EPA ratings before they're officially published?
  11. FINALLY!!! - Status: Sent to Plant; Primary Status: In Production PLUS!!! - The window sticker with EPA Ratings has also been released.
  12. The Tesla Pickup will be recognized as the American vehicle that finally knocked the Pontiac Aztek and AMC Pacer out of their long standing 1st and 2nd place positions... that's my first impression. I just looked at it again and it's also my 2nd impression.
  13. Looks like those on other forums who had GT orders with scheduled build weeks of 11/04 and 11/11 have also slipped. It appears OKTB hasn't been issued for the new hybrid line at the MOD Center yet... plus the GTs EPA ratings haven't been released yet either.
  14. Ihttps://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2019/11/12/ford-shifts-past-bumpy-explorer-debut/2499839001/ According to this article the rough launch is finally behind them and they're now pumping out Explorers/Aviators at nearly one per minute!
  15. Did some searching and it sounds like the "scheduled to day" date is the day the vehicle is scheduled to be complete and roll off the assembly line. It then updates to "produced" after passing quality checks. Somebody chime in if this isn't correct. Couldn't find anything on how many days before the scheduled to day date the primary status uplates from in order processing to in production... anybody have info on this?
  16. If I understood my dealer correctly, mine slipped one day from the 17th to the 18th.
  17. Look at the bright side, at least it's going off for no reason due to some correctable problem... future autonomous cars with artificial intelligence will be doing it on pupose as a prank and laughing about it!!!
  18. I have one ordered so I'm keenly interested in hearing about quality issues and hopefully tracking how they're improving over time... so thank you for starting this thread. But may I suggest that it would serve that purpose much better if your title and OP didn't start out by saying the Aviator is a piece of crap. That's also an antagonistic statement and not something those who have purchased/ordered an Aviator wants to hear. Its understandable that you're upset about all the issues you have found, but what's important now is that they correct everything to your satisfaction. None of your issues are serious, even the panel alignments, so give your dealer a chance to fix them and keep us informed on how they do. I predict that in the end, you'll be happy you chose the Aviator over the Land Rover! Of course this is easy for me to say because it's not my car... mine should be built next week and if it's not perfect I'll do my best to find a nicer way of calling it a piece of crap, LOL!!
  19. Please tell me this isn't true... I ordered a GT with slate gray interior like in his Aviator comercial and purchased some expensive watches and casual suits thinking it would make me just like him. I even got a manicure and my eyebrows plucked... bummer!
  20. I see in another thread that yours is in production now!! What was your "scheduled to day" date and when did your primary status change from "in order processing" to whatever is next... in production or sent to plant? Did you get an ETA yet? My scheduled to day date is this Sunday, is that an approximation of when it starts production or when it will roll off the line? It's still listed as in order processing. Thanks
  21. Ice/electric powered front like the new Escape PHEV with electric powered rear to make it AWD. Escape PHEV is front drive only.
  22. Our GTs are both scheduled to be built this week and mine is now scheduled to be built in six days, on Sunday. Did you get a build date yet? My status is still scheduled to day/in order proccesing with no windowsticker or eta yet... how many days before the build date is that info usually updated?
  23. I'm in western PA and in a lake effect area. We have seen winter storms ranging from 24" snows to everything encased in thick ice, plus combinations of both. The GT is all wheel drive with a winter mode so it should be good... how good depends on the tires they give us. Ice is the biggest concern with all season tires... I have winter wheels with Blizzak tires for both of our winter vehicles. With Blizzaks my wife's front drive Fusion Hybrid easily makes it up our steep driveway no matter what the conditions... and I don't have to get up early to plow and treat like my neighbor does. With the the factory all seasons it will most likely go much better than it stops. Why did I say winter vehicles... because ever since PA started making brine with magnesium chloride, undercarriage damage has been swift and brutal (see link) and rinsing the underbody at the car wash after a winter storm is useless. So instead of trading cars, we now keep the old ones as winter/park-and-ride beaters so we don't expose our new ones to brine damage and door dings. Shouldn't be an issue for those who lease or trade often. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcommuting/worse-than-salt-brine-sprayed-on-roads-will-munch-your-car-to-pieces/2015/02/22/b89294e6-b949-11e4-aa05-1ce812b3fdd2_story.html
  24. The more options/features you have the more noises it will make as it wakes up and goes to sleep... totally normal. My aging body does the same thing... but i don't think its normal.
  25. I really wanted to hold off until the Mach E and Bronco were out before deciding on our next car... but the wife said we've waited long enough. So I had to give in when she OK'd the Aviator GT for "her" next car!!!
