  1. I have to agree. This year I bought a new TC for the company and a new SHO for myself. Ford is doing a great job in this harsh climate. Thanks to all the workers at Ford and the dealerships as well!
  2. So was Ford, they worked on Mission Control in Houston. Remember Ford Aerospace / Philco before it was sold to Loral?
  3. There are no fit and finish issues on my Taurus SHO. The build date was 9-21. I see no differences in the interior fit and finish between my SHO and my sisters S class.
  4. Seriously, Ford has shed many white collar jobs. The UAW preachers want to say that they are always getting hosed and Mullaly and his bunch are always immune. Note to all UAW blue collar workers: If you have the ability, walk off your assembly line job, march into Bill's office, show that you can do it better than Alan, and YOU get the 8 digit salary. I am surprised that all of these people work at Ford and do not recall his greatest quote: There are two kinds of people. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. And they are both right. If you don't have the talent or will to succeed to the level of Mr. Mullaly, then kindly stop your bitching and let him run the company. If he asks for concessions, he needs them. If you don't like it, please quit. I run a small business and employ 8 people. I have not taken home a check in 8 months. My employees have made the choice to scale back their hours so I don't have to let anyone go. That is teamwork, it looks like Ford could use a little more of it from the UAW.
  5. Am I to understand that the UAW will NOT match the deals they gave to GM and Chrysler? Since the UAW owns part of GM it is OK to give them concessions but not Ford that is standing without union ownership. WOW! The union is really showing favoritism to GM. I thought the UAW used to bargain with one of the big three and then use that deal as a pattern for the other two of the big 3. Looks like Ford, the Big 1, may need to kick a few butts.....
  6. You are going to love that SHO. I drove mine 700 miles today and could have kept driving for a few more hours. The Cinnamon is a great color, I really enjoy mine. Hats off to the blue and white collar folks that made this vehicle. It stands easily above any vehicle in it's price range.
  7. If Ford is not profitable for the whole year, each and every year, more cuts need to be made. We also need to pay off all of our mortgaged assets before we let blue or white collar workers get any additional increases.
  8. Yes, I did. My E-150 was an awesome vehicle, lived in it when I was homeless and it never let me down. Most people don't think much of Ford's built in the 1980's but mine was a superstar!
  9. I picked it up last Thursday. I'll take some pictures soon. We have 2600 miles on the transit and it is a very solid little van. My co-workers were VERY concerned about it's ability to get the job done, but it is doing very well.
  10. Glad to see some people are seeing the light in California. This car is easily the best car Ford has ever produced with a blue oval on it. It puts a smile on my face constantly and, for what it is worth, the nav does rock. I'm glad that the nav option is a popular choice.
  11. Ford is at a serious disadvantage. All that 0% 60 month financing that GM is offering is taxpayer subsidized. Ford can not offer the same. Ford lives in the real world while GM is in lala land....
  12. Wow, I'm speechless. I'll comment tomorrow when my brain thaws out!
  13. Well, I'm waiting for mine! It was a little more than $37,000 too!
  14. He also made it sound like the 300C Hemi has more power than the SHO. Not true, the SHO has 5 more HP and better mileage. Can't wait for mine to come in!
  15. If Ford does hit number one, I think they will stay there for awhile. No other manufacturer has what Ford has......... Mullaly. He has stripped Ford of all that has held them back these many years. I think a bright Ford future is headed our way!
  16. Hey, if the NYT hates it, it must be a GREAT car! Those dudes can't report fairly on real world events, how can we expect any truth when it comes to American automobiles?
  17. I might have to pick one up if it has at least a 75 mile range....
  18. I agree with Honda, it must be the drivers. Anyone who buys a Honda hasn't a lick of sense anyway, right?
  19. We bought ours on August 11th and we absolutely love it. My installers fight over who gets to drive it for the day!
  20. You are right, nowhere near 5,000 have been built yet. My SHO is scheduled to be built the week of Sept 21st, with a VIN indicating that it will be the 3,899th Taurus produced thus far.
