  1. Regular Limited. Lacked power, cheap interior, revved really high, terrible gas mileage, terrible steering and handling...
  2. That wasn't much of an article. Anyhoo, I rented (was upgraded to??) a Cherokee last fall and it was one of the worst vehicles I have ever driven, with a list of failures too long to list here.
  3. That's BS, go to another dealer and if they give you the same line, contact customer service and ride them like a rented mule. Under warranty, they need to at least investigate to rule out bad windshield, cowl or firewall seals before denying a warranty repair.
  4. I went ahead and ordered the Intro-Tech Ultimate Sunshade for the 2016 Fusion with sensor hoping it will fit my 2017.
  5. If it's a new car, go to the Ford web site and Build & Price. Window stickers generally aren't available until a week or so before the build date and until it's available, it will read The Window Sticker for This Vehicle.... My car was built on 6/22 and I was able to print mine from Research Maniacs on 6/14. I just entered my VIN and it still posted the sticker. A co-worker tried to print one for his new to him, used 2012 Explorer and it gave the same message as above, which makes me wonder if after a certain period of time it's no longer available.
  6. Other than in spring time, the roads in MN are fairly good. It's the resurfacing they do which leaves the manhole covers an inch or two below the road surface. It's like a slalom course on some roads and in traffic you can't avoid them, I'd rather hit a tree than the repeated thump, thump, it drives me nuts.
  7. I feel much better about ramming into a tree, avoiding a pot hole.
  8. MyFord Mobile is exclusive to C-Max and Fusion Energi vehicles. Among other things, MFM manages and tracks charging, trip data history and driving efficiency, it sounds like there's a version of Ford Pass that does that as well and is also exclusive to Energi models. My guess is Ford Pass will eventually replace MyFord Mobile when the next gen of EV rolls out.
  9. Nope, all in Mexico. I'm a Union member, support all Unions including the UAW and I don't want to see manufacturing leave the US, but I have to say, my 2017 Fusion is a very well built car. ** Sorry, I didn't realize this was the Employee forum. I was searching New Content and clicked on a discussion that was of interest to me.**
  10. Better safe than wiped clean. I regularly change passwords for my accounts with credit cards or banking involved, my paranoia forced me to do it sooner than usual.
  11. What akirby said, or spam. I changed all my critical passwords after opening the link.
  12. Unfortunately I don't. I did it on my C-Max, but haven't done it for my new Fusion and when I traded in my Energi, they didn't fit the Fusion, so off they went into the dumpster. The left over insulation is at my home in AZ and I won't be driving there until January. It's a little pricey to get an entire roll for this, the pieces I will use were left over from a project in AZ. It kept the interior quite a bit cooler (or less hot), thus keeping the HVB cooler.
  13. In that hilly terrain with very little braking regen on the down slopes, at least from what I noticed from the rear end shots not seeing brake lights, that Energi would be lucky to get 10-12, maybe 14 miles on a charge in EV Only. I'm not a hater, I had a C-Max, I'm just sayin'.
  14. I'm aware, but wondering how long Ford will support the current technology after 2019.
  15. Stephen, I notice your signature Fuelly average is 24.3, that seems a little low. My trip 1 is since I took possession and it reads 34.6 and my trip 2, since my last fill up, mostly mixed city is at 31.8. I'm pretty light on the throttle at take off, try to stay patient on the freeway and I use the stop/start feature.
  16. Intertech Ultimate Sunshade is the best. It's very high quality, folds and not rolls and comes with a nifty vinyl carrying case. I've been in contact with them and he said the 2016 should fit the 2017. I was skeptical so I went to a dealership, but unfortunately they did not have any 2016's with the sensor. The fellow at Intertech said the pattern maker has been on vacation and the screen for the 2017's should be out in 3-4 weeks. For my side and rear windows, I'm doing the same as I did for my C-Max, cut pieces of that silver bubble insulation to fit and press them in place. A couple of small pieces of Velcro at the top holds the rear window piece in place and the sides, pressed in, stand on their own and can be flipped over to fit the other side.
  17. The question is, will Ford support this early EV phase after the next phase in drive train and battery technology is rolled out? I've tried to stay informed and don't recall Fields yet embracing this technology. The division developing it may be making advances, but it's still up to the guy on top to push it forward.
  18. The way that guy was spinning his head around, I started getting dizzy watching that video, had to shut it off.
  19. I’ve been driving my 2017 Fusion for 10 days, I just passed 700 miles and I can’t get over what a great car it is. I have driven the car on two trips of 220 miles, 275 miles and one week of daily commuting. I averaged 34 mpg’s and 36.8 mpg’s on the two trips. The first trip, on the day I took delivery, I used the cruise very little and fluctuated my speed on the freeway and as I traveled in Western Wisconsin on hilly, winding two lane roads and through small towns, I also took it up to and drove for a distance at 90 and 100 mph while on the open freeway. On my trip last weekend, I used the cruise set at 60, 65 and 70, under little traffic on a 4-lane highway and two lane back roads. I averaged 38.6 on the way up and 36.8 on the way home. In the past week of daily commuting I have averaged around 28 mpg’s. I did a comprehensive walk around on the day I took delivery, but my vision may have been clouded by the excitement of getting the car. Today I washed the car (for the second time), in and out and could not find a single flaw on the interior or exterior, the overall fit and finish is perfect. I still haven’t got used to not having a gear shifter and I still unconsciously reach for it when my arm is on the arm rest. I’m still working on a comfortable position for my left arm. My C-Max had a lot more headroom and it was easier to find a comfortable position on the window sill or door arm rest. I have not heard a single rattle, even while driving on a storm damaged wash board dirt road. All the exterior panels line up perfectly and I have not noticed any paint flaws, although I will have a closer look when I put a coat of wax on it. I am really happy with my color choice, White Gold, it really sparkles in the sun and like any light color does not show dirt or dust and my car was pretty dirty after the trip to the cabin and sitting in the rain. The tires came inflated 10-12 psi over the recommended level and I did notice a hard ride on the first day. I lowered them to 35 psi and the ride is now smooth and very quiet, one of the quietest cars I’ve owned. One little surprise was that the 16” spare tire has the same wheel design as the 17” luster nickel wheels, not a black steely. I also find that the spoke design makes it really easy to wash and dry the wheels. I have driven at various speeds through several “Your Speed Is” monitors and every time they have matched the analog speedometer and the digital display on the Info screen. I think this is the first Ford product I’ve owned that the speedo wasn’t two mph off. SYNC 3 is a vast improvement over MFT, so much so, I feel a little sorry for those still using the Microsoft based system. It’s more responsive, faster, has a cleaner, less cluttered look and is far more user friendly. I am very pleased with the premium sound system and have no regrets not getting the Sony system. I love the way the DRL’s look and the LED headlights illuminate so much brighter and whiter than halogen lights. The lane keeping system is pretty cool and on a straight road, I hardly know when it’s working, unless it’s when I take my eyes off the road and really veer off line. I had one scary moment was when I was on a fairly sharp curve, took it tight and the system very aggressively pulled me to the center and it took a little effort to keep the car on the line I was committed to. I have the system off most of the time, but know it will be useful on long, boring freeway drives, especially at night when I can get distracted reaching for the french fry that fell between the console and seat, or when I’m getting a little tired. The stop start feature also took a little getting used to. At first I though it was starting a little hard, but as I get used to it, it’s barely noticeable and I have learned to release the brake slightly to start the car, but keep it stopped and as the opposing traffic light changes from yellow to red and in the time it takes me to clear the intersection, my light is green and off I go. The 1.5L does lose a little power and hesitates just a little at take off or passing gear when the A/C is on, other than that slight hesitation and a little less power, I have no regrets choosing the 1.5L over the 2.0L, plus, I like my mpg’s. The Gen 3 Fusion was already a very nice car, but the styling updates really make it a top notch mid size and hard to beat in that segment.
  20. I spent the weekend "up north" and to get to my sisters place, you have to drive 4 miles on a hard dirt road. Recent storms caused a lot of wash boarding and I was pleasantly surprised there were no rattles on the way in or out on my 2017 Fusion. So, to answer the Op's question, no, all cars don't rattle.
  21. Looks good and that's a nice pic, the color really pops in that light. After a couple of 200+ mile road trips and a week of daily commuting, I have about 600 miles on mine. I'm going to post my review/impressions next week. So far, it's been great!
  22. In MN you pay the one time sales tax at purchase, then the annual license fees, which, based on the value of the car gradually go down and for me started off at $387.75. Regardless of how you pay it, the States get their revenue one way or another.
  23. MN pays on purchase minus the trade in value. So on my $28395 car I paid tax on $13895.
  24. The Motor Vehicle Tax in MN is 6%. In MN car buyers are taxed on the negotiated price, minus rebates, minus the trade in allowance, if any. On top of that add license plate fees and documentation fee.
  25. Leather trimmed means the seating surface and the seat back are leather (and possible the bolsters), all other sections are vinyl.
