RMC, I like the overall look, but the inverse crease in the center of the hood is not working for me....something along the lines of the 2010 Milan front end styling, in my opinion, would work a lot better and tie in the division look much nicer.....

Maybe Ford will restyle the Flex and send it upmarket to the Mercury division.....

PS....I like the look, and really dig the flatbed truck....

I would assume it has to do with "pedestrian hit" standards...the hood crushes down instead of getting a sharply creased fender in the noggin.

Not that he wouldn't want to, and I know where you are going with it, but...if the cutbacks are as he says, the person that is in charge of maintaining the physical structure of the plant is the one that is paid to perform these tasks and if that position has been cut...the light goes un-changed...if Alan was compensated at that number, couldn't Ford have diverted some to maintenance as well? Not sure if I want to try to change one of those... It is called "out-of-title" work....not that he is not allowed, but if there is a person that is designated to perform that task, then that person would have a sustainable grievance as outlined in their CBA. CBA's are agreed to by both sides of the work-site, and since the agreement is in place, they must honor the contents. If this is not protected, then you would have auto assemblers replacing light bulbs and electricians building cars etc etc etc....

NBC is a bunch of whore masters and while Conan did the right thing and left (with class might I add...stood by his people and made sure they didn't get screwed) and said nothing but nice things about NBC on his last day there...Jay Leno is the whore who doesn't realize his "time" on stage is over....period. Again, only my opinion....but I will never, ever watch him again....ever.

To those that think a V6 powered Corvette is a bad idea need to remember that it looks like it will be a banner year for our favorite pony car...the new 305HP V6 Mustang will knock the sales charts into the weeds as I predict that more of those will sell than their V8 brethren....I see Corvette becoming a technological rolling test bed for the latest and greatest drive trains to by made by GM...

Jay should have stepped out of showbiz and let Conan build up....kinda like what Johnny Carson did when he left....he left and you never saw Carson on TV again. If Carson had created a new show right after leaving the Tonight Show and it was slotted in a time slot an hour and a half earlier, Jay would have flopped as host of Tonight Show....Leno is a greedy hack and has shown himself to be a self-centered jackass....but, hey...thats this mans' opinion....

Lets review.... When Johnny Carson retired and Jay Leno took over....Jays numbers tanked and he had to build his audience back up. What Jay didn't have to contend with was Johnny Carson yanking the rug out from under him with a new show an hour and a half earlier in the lineup after he left the tonight show...Johnny did it with class and Jay is a "hack" comedian that doesn't know when the show is over and the curtain has closed....grasp at more air time.....Conan never stood a chance....he would have if Jay left the air for good like Johnny Carson did.....

I will never watch Jay Leno ever again....he is an arrogant jerk.
