One of the things I have noticed (from my days as a tire salesman) is a lot of the tires on new cars are put on without regard to the "guide dot' in bright ink/paint on the sidewall of the tire. The tire manufacturer will "dot" the tire so that the installer will know where to best position the tire on the rim to help balance the assembly out. Add the new TPMS sensors within the tire/rim assembly and I can understand why these tires are taking a lot more weights to get the assembly to balance out. The TPMS sensor needs a counter weight 180 degrees from the sensor to help balance it out, and the "dot" needs to go where the valve stem is so that the entire assembly takes less external weights.

My local Ford/LM dealership has a 3.0L 2010 Fusion and Milan....both are flex-fuel as well.
