Mustang to lose 15" length; 6.5" width?
EBFlex replied to blazerdude20's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
If that's true, holy crap! But, then there may be room for a more Corvette-like competitor in Ford's lineup. -
Cadillac unveils Elmiraj concept, new wreath-less logo
EBFlex replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Competing Products
That looks fantastic. Love the way the new logo looks. Seems Cadillac is designing much more striking vehicles since Max left. Great to see. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating

Where did I say leave the loophole? Do I really have to state that needs to go away? Same person that make you an expert on everything automotive related apparently. -
C-Max hybrid rebate, how about MKZ ?
EBFlex replied to Ghostrider009's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
Wow, look at you with the name calling. Very mature. Does the following sound familiar? You and a few others seem to take a "blame the victim" mentality on this issue. It can't possibly be Ford doing anything dishonest. You are even dismissing the results of actual owners (in this thread no less) because they don't fit your euphoric view of Ford and/or Lincoln. NOTHING in my post was inaccurate. I even posted a link to my information. You, like Ford, have no credibility on this issue. Something doesn't pass the smell test with ANY of Ford's hybrids. -
C-Max hybrid rebate, how about MKZ ?
EBFlex replied to Ghostrider009's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
It's probably coming. The Fusion/MKZ are no better in the fuel economy department than the Cmax. Looking at fueleconomy.gov, the average fuel economy of 77 vehicles is under 40 MPG. And remember, the last generation Fusion (and Escape Hybrid for that matter) had absolutely no issue meeting the advertised numbers. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&id=33083&id=31388&id=30373&id=26405 Ford is just as guilty with the Fusion and MKZ as they have admitted they were with the Cmax. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating
EBFlex replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
My thing is...you can do anything with software. And Ford could make ANY MPG reading come across the display in the car. I'm not saying Ford did that, but it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Ford has absolutely zero credibility on this issue. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating

You're twisting my words. Scheduled improvements does not mean that the product is "wrong". Not sure where you are getting that. This is *quite* different than a scheduled improvement. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating
EBFlex replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I will retract my statement that the EPA test does not need to be changed. Actually, it needs to be thrown out completely. I'm not going to blame the victim (customers) on why the Cmax didn't meet the pipe dream ratings, driving style isn't as important as some of the other insanely flawed aspects of the test. TTAC did a great write up on this issue: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2013/08/editorial-time-for-fuel-economy-reform/ -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating
EBFlex replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
The part where Ford would have to swallow hard and change the numbers. And Ford most certainly did do something wrong. Hence the change. If they did nothing wrong, there would NOT have been a "software reprogram" (which is fishy enough) and the sticker change. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating
EBFlex replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Not necessary. It's not the EPA testing...it's manufacturer dishonesty. Again, The 2010-2012 Fusion and Escape Hybrid had absolutely no issue meeting the EPA numbers. -
Ford to lower C-Max Fuel Economy Rating
EBFlex replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
About time. Saw this coming for a while now. Hopefully we can just move on now with the correct ratings. Still very good for a vehicle of that size. But 47 was a pipe dream. -
Wow...they certainly don't make them like they used to. That's crazy.

Livernois 2.0L Fusion tune
EBFlex replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
3700 pounds...yeah, if you remove the doors, entire interior, trunk lid/hood/glass maybe... The Taurus SHO (2010 model) weighs over 4300 pounds. -
Yep, they are the Solyndra of the automotive world. A complete house of cards.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone could recommend a vehicle that dies at 80K miles and even the company that built the thing doesn't have a clue and is just scratching their heads with a confused look on their face. Ford would be wise to provide him (well, IR) with a complimentary engine and taken the old one and study it so they can learn why it happened.

Don't Read this review of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ
EBFlex replied to Anthony's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Again...for the second time, I have provided why that is my opinion. It is NOT a statement of fact BECAUSE I have said it is "my opinion". Jesus Christ you people need to better handle when a person has an opinion that differs from yours. How have you made it this far in life? Quit taking the internet so seriously Not exactly. I did not call you arrogant, I called your statement to me arrogant. Because you all but said that your uneducated opinion was better than anyone elses uneducated opinion. -
That could also be applied to many of your posts.

Oh please, Now we've officially stepped into the world of fanboyism and left reality. That is the kind of thinking that will hurt both Ford and Lincoln in the long run. You can damn sure bet Lincoln is closely studying many brands including Buick trying to figure out how they are able to move metal. Do I think Lincoln needs to use cheaper materials? No, they're not that spectacular to begin with. What they need to figure out is why their best performing vehicle for 2013 is the Navigator and why their brand new "game changing" MKZ is performing worse than the last generation MKZ. Right now, the object is NOT profitability. It's getting their name out there. Again, they would be smart to follow Buick and study why they move so many units. When you have no brand recognition, you have to build that before you throw 50K mid-sized sedans on the lot.
