  1. Update: temperatures reached 88 degrees here in west Michigan yesterday. Didn't hear the rattle once! Hoping the warmer weather has an impact on the plastics expanding and contracting and it'll stop (if temporarily). True. Should have worded that differently...I wish we had access without paying $170. But yes, I understand all manufactures charge an arm and a leg for these books. Its highly irritating to say the least.
  2. Yep, we have the same issue whatever it may be. It happens more so on side to side bumps, as you said. I wish we had access to the service manual...I too would be more than capable of fixing the issue. I'm leaving it to the dealer to resolve though since the car is under warranty and that's what its for. There are dozens of Ford dealers around me so I'm simply going to keep going to different ones until I find a service department that is semi-competent.
  3. Yikes...what a terrible waste of time that has become. Does your rattling sound like the same as the one in my video? The dealer has (or so they say) "sprayed lubricant" and "tightened some screws" to no avail. I really wouldn't doubt it if they actually did nothing though. It's made no difference in the sound or frequency of the occurrence.
  4. Oh my god, finally another owner with the same issue! I've had this issue since I got the car last fall and the three times I've taken it in, they were unable (or unwilling) to do anything about it. It's like a ticking noise and its simply maddening, right in my left ear. You have to turn the volume up all the way, but this is what mine sounds like:
  5. FWIW, it is difficult to clean under. I like it personally. Distinguishes it from other Fusions. Most don't have it.
  6. About the same here. Though the power is nice, its a bit sad my last car with a 3.2 V6 and 270HP got 31 on the highway.
  7. Didn't special order, but I sometimes wish I had the drivers assistance package instead of adaptive cruise. ACC is nice, but I'd benefit more from LKAS and BLIS. Not to mention my car doesn't have rain-sensing wipers, which I find silly.
  8. I average 22 or so on 93 octane, but I generally drive my car like I stole it.
  9. I'll be so bummed if the 2.3 is available...
  10. Up close in sunlight, yes.
  11. You guys are really making a bigger issue out of it than there really is. Test drive both back to back if you're concerned. The ride quality with 19s is wonderful.
  12. Yes. I accidentally popped one of them off when I was taking my bumper off. They basically just snap into place.
  13. I don't think this is really an issue. If it were 19s that you were putting on a Fiesta, okay maybe there would be some sacrifice there. But the Fusion was designed with the 19s in mind. Ride quality is infinitely better than my old Acura TL, and that had 17s.
  14. When the headlights are on, the Ti tails will look like this. Whereas on the SE, the inner portion (where the brake lights and turn signals come on) will be lit up with the headlights.
  15. Not sure about Cross Traffic (my car doesn't have it), but the tone you get when starting the car (seat belt alarm) and the door open tone changes occasionally if my car hasn't been driven for a while.
  16. I think the most obtrusive sound is forward collision warning, and for good reason. Radio fades out, solid beeping tone, red light on the windshield. Cross traffic alert is something I wish my Fusion had.
  17. Issue regarding the tone changing is caused by low battery voltage. The standard soft sound is played through the car's speakers. When the battery has lower charge, the sound is played through the small speaker in the instrument cluster to save power. You'll observe this if your car has been sitting for a while.
  18. Glad to hear you like it. It's an absolute joy to drive. I agree with your statement regarding the MyFordTouch...not sure what all the fuss is about.
  19. I too what have chosen what you did, regardless of color. I haven't driven the 2.5 n/a but I'm sure its still pleasant to drive, as the Fusion has great driving dynamics no matter the powertrain.
  20. As one who complained about the home screen being a useless waste of space, you'd note the HVAC controls are integrated into the system. So unless you can locate a 3rd party system that integrates with Ford's interior climate controls, no.
  21. Not sure what you mean by that. The LED halos are incredibly bright... Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. The install admittedly was a bit tricky. Took a while to get them to contour around the curves without bubbles, etc. Probably took a couple of hours to get it right (though, I'm quite picky when it comes to these kinds of things).
  22. How, you ask? Those familiar with the 13+ Fusion know that the turn signal/brake lights are integrated into the same LED assembly in the middle (clear area) of the tail lights, and that the outer red ring is just a reflector. Therefore, the "gun smoke" shade of tail light tint on my Fusion does not make the vehicle any less safe to other drivers. So what were the bridges you were interested in selling?
  23. Must have some acid rain in your area.
  24. Nice! Really is beautiful. How do you like it so far? Also, the side antenna. Is it there on all MKZs or just the one's with the pano roof?
