  1. I think there was also the issue of where they were going to build it. Even back then they were capacity constrained at CAP (AFAIK) and FRAP wasn't building Fusions yet. At that time the last sedan that was built there was the Mazda 6 (until 2013) and even then it's not the same platform. I suppose they could have built it at OAC in Canada, but I'm guessing they thought that Flex/MKT would be bigger sellers and eat up more capacity there on top of Edge sales which at the time were really starting to hit its stride.
  2. I haven't done it since they revamped it last year, but the rouge tour is pretty damn cool even though it is a bit on the expensive side. The Detroit Zoo is also a good call, they just opened their new world class penguinarium and it's AWESOME! Closer to Downtown there's the DIA if you're into that kind of thing and Belle Isle is gorgeous now that the State took control and made it a state park, though it's kinda sectioned off a bit right now as they prepare for the Grand Prix next weekend.
  3. I don't think he's trolling or stupid. Overreacting and a bit misinformed sure, but not trolling.
  4. It might just be me. MKC and MKX both say crossover to me, C meaning compact and X meaning mid-size to me. I totally forgot MKT even exists. It makes sense to me for the full sizers have full names (Continental, Aviator, Navigator)
  5. The only Lincoln names that don't make sense to me are MKZ and MKS, and fortunately the latter is now gone.
  6. When we bought our focus it had 232 miles on it because they had to drive it up from Ohio. The paperwork all states it had 232 miles on it at time of delivery. Either his dealer messed up the paperwork at time of delivery, or wrote it out at the time of order assuming it would only have 15 miles on it.
  7. Is shutdown 2 weeks in July this year or is it split? I'm coming back on the 6th and want to make plans.
  8. 2 things. When they ship via rail, which if I'm not mistaken yours was to get to the port it was sent to Hawaii from, cars tend to get covered with dust. Railroads are dirty. Your truck could have also been either taken for a road test at the plan (more common than you would think) or driven to a holding lot to wait to get loaded onto a train (also more common than you would think)
  9. That was what I thought too. No surprise the Camaro was the best since its the newest platform, but I would have thought it to be better too hatter all of GM's high stepping on it being a stronger platform than its predecessor.
  10. Maybe it's because I don't fully understand just how in the blue hell it works, but it seems like its not the best of ideas. I'm all for innovation, but this seems like a case of fixing something that isn't broken.
  11. Sounds like it's at a classification yard waiting to be assembled into a new train to its final destination.
  12. I'm a Ford employee and I have no idea what that is
  13. In a word, No Early in a model year build mixes are skewed towards base models since probably 80% of the early builds are dealer stock orders. The end of the model year, build mixes are skewed toward premium models.
  14. don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to play games. I was just wondering if you personally had a number in mind.
  15. But how much? Would pay a premium above ecoboost? Because that's what it might take.
  16. I'm pretty sure it's both wider and longer than the MKS, at least in terms of the body. Maybe not in wheelbase. They definitely utilized the interior space much more efficiently. The backseat is HUGE compared to the MKS.
  17. Doubt it. It's not easy enough to dump on the non-German car that way.
  18. To be fair, we don't know what exactly CD6 is yet. We have a reasonable idea, but nothing confirmed.
