  1. No. Production limited to 80. 80 Anniversary Coach Doors Edition... And it is a great succes. Every single auto magazine is talking about it. Is a big marketing campaing for Lincoln.
  2. Ford Europe needs a car to replace the C-Max and to compete in the small C segment crossover market. In Europe the C segment crossover market is splited in two sizes. The Kuga will be the "big" C crossover and a new car will be the "small" C crossover. Even the B segmant crosoover market is segmenting in two sizes! here, Ford has the Ka+ Active , the Fiesta Active and the EcoSport, that cover it very well. But the C segment needs attention.
  3. One guy here, supposed to be well informed ,say that the CD6 will not be for sedans. But i think is difficult for Ford to keep a platform for only two nameplates (Explorer/Aviator). Ford needs to expand the models based on this architecture to get more profits on this platform. I suspect the Mondeo, the Taurus will be builded on that... and in the future a new Lincoln sedan too. The next Mustang , aparently, will be a version of the current car... I think is a mistake.. Ford must make the new Mustang on CD6 , with a 4 door coupe version and a Lincoln branded 4 door coupe version, too. But... the "car armaggedon" kill everything but the SUVs and trucks.
  4. Some one here think Ford will use the CD6 platform for the Mondeo/Taurus in China and Europe ,eventually? That car could be a very good sedan and very competitive in Europe with some BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi offers...
  5. Edge competive? Where? Wich what vehicle? Here in Europe, the Edge cost as much as a Porsche Macan or a Mercedes-Benz GLC...
  6. Glad to see some sedans with the blue oval on the hood... at least in China.
  7. Cadillac have time to redone the vehicle from now to the next summer! he he he he ...?
  8. Is me or this Cadillac needs a facelift right now, because looks old.... Oh... I just reallized that Cadillac is just launching the car! ?
  9. This is the conservative group. Ford, like Toyota, Honda and FCA , is very cautious with EVs because its demand big investments with little profits. In the opposite extreme is VW, that is thinking about changing their entire business to electric form in 2 generations (8-10 years)!. If the VW approach fail, VW ( and Audi, Posche, Seat, Bentley, Lamborghini, Skoda) will disappear.
  10. Toyota, with Ford, FCA and Honda, is in the "conservative" side of the autoindustry . This conservative group think the EVs will gain popularity slowly in the future. On the other extreme are the "agressive" group of automakers that think the EVs will dominate the industry tomorrow. In this group are VW, Nissan and , in a more caution form, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. In the middle are the intermediate group, that are preparing for EVs, but don´t bet everything to them: GM, Jaguar-Land Rover, PSA
  11. less workers + more pressure to meet the goals = worst quality of the cars Tesla are bad cars. They will be worst.
  12. MK dead. No more MK whatever, please. There are many names that Lincoln can use: Versailles, Town Car, Cosmopolitan, Zephyr, Mark...
  13. Will the Mondeo survive the "sedan armaggedon" at Ford?. The Mondeo is selling rigth now in Europe and China. Are these markets enough to keep this model alive?
  14. I think the same. Tesla makes terrible cars, but makes very good powerplants.
  15. Very nice vehicle. Better than the Ford EcoSport, for sure.
  16. Like Audis are "tarted up" VWs... And with EVs, the bateries and the electric engines can be the same for all vehicles (sedans.. Crossovers, trucks).. the difference will be at the body, the interior, the quality of assembly, the prestige of the brand. So, that is why I think when more and more EVs come to the market and everyone run from 0 to 100 mph in 3 sec like Teslas, but in a better package, Tesla will end its life.
  17. The engineering of the vehicle is almost ready: the Ford Mach E platform. Lincoln needs to design and build a "top hat" for that platform. That is a relatively easy work.
  18. What the Galotra´s commentary mean? Simple: a Lincoln based on the Mach E is on track. I think this electric platform is perfect for Lincoln´s the quit luxury line up. When? I speck it 1 year or so after the Mach E debut.
  19. Ford have underutilized plants in America and Europe and VW need more capacity. That is the key of the deal. The other is the difficult to export vehicles between america and China because the tariff. VW and Ford can share plants in both countries and produce the vehicles thay need. Of course, both companies need to share platforms and some parts to make easy this plan.
  20. Of course, they sell you the car with the different parts barely stuck with each other ...?
  21. Is Toledo plant where Jeep will build the Gladiator? I think Jeep is producing now the Wrangler they can´t produce when they start to produce the Gladiator. I predict the Gladiator will sell like pancakes... and the Toledo plant will not be enough to produce both vehicles at the rate will be necesaary to meet the demand.
  22. At those prices, I prefer to buy the Aviator over the X5. Hands down. Is a better looked vehicle, more modern, with more power, with a better interior. X5 advantage? The BMW badge. Only that.
