  1. So is that a 10” screen or an 8” with a storage compartment right next to it? Here is an older spy shot that shows it a bit clearer. I wonder if the cheaper models get 8” with storage and higher trims can get the 10”?
  2. Did it mention cab configurations? Regular cab with the same batteries would be pretty sweet. If they are all crew cab, how are you supposed to charge them at home? Most people probably can’t fit a crew cab in the garage.
  3. I like what I see so far. I like the rectangular shape of the grille better than the oval shape of the truck next to it.
  4. I’m not sure if I agree with this. Sure, EVs have less maintenance, but they won’t be cheaper to operate for long. When the demand for electricity goes up, so will the price. And when the government isn’t getting enough money from gas taxes, they are gonna get it from EVs, either with a tax on electricity or on your mileage.
  5. Found this on FB. Finally a big bend without the ridiculous mud flaps on it. Looks pretty good.
  6. I think both of those are better, but neither go far enough. They need to switch back to the more traditional look of the headlights being next to the grille and not above it. This also squares off the front end a bit and makes it look less like a car. The evos grille is very similar in shape, but in my opinion it looks 10x better.
  7. The new face of Chinese ford suvs (equator and evos) would look pretty good on the escape.
  8. I don’t think it would have mattered if they launched together or not. Launching them together only makes it clear that there are two different models. The bigger problem is when people call both models “Bronco”, then you don’t know which model they are referring to. I see this multiple times a day in the bronco FB groups.
  9. Is the interior green too? Ford calls it Deep Cypress, which appears to be a greenish gray color.
  10. I’d say it’s more like the Active models Europe gets. Tremor seems to be up another level.
  11. This would be perfect with about a little more ground clearance and the ST grille. With the lights in the grille, I think lots of people will think you are the police.
  12. I would have been shocked if we didn’t see these large increases since that’s when covid was in full swing last year. I’m somewhat surprised by the sport being this close to escape in sales already. I didn’t think it would overtake the escape in sales, but it seems like it’s a possibility now.
  13. Well, there’s probably not a better name you could pick for an EV. The article mentions it will be the fastest/most HP of any F150 so performance wise it fits too.
  14. It’s a shame it won’t be offered here. That’s a good looking vehicle.
  15. I watched the TFL review. It looked like space was ok in the back once he got in, but it seemed like he had to contort his body a bit more than usual to get in.
  16. I think it’s based off of the Tuscon instead of Santa Fe right? The New tuscon starts at around $25k. I’d guess this is priced somewhere around there too.
  17. I don’t doubt that at all. Even though these vehicles are similar, I see them going after completely different markets. That’s why I think Subaru will be the main competition here. I was really surprised by the engine specs of the Santa Fe. We already know that the maverick will be getting the optional 2.0 turbo which has 250hp and 277ft lb torque in the bronco sport. Maybe ford ups the output in the maverick but I don’t see that happening, as that would make one of their premium products (bronco sport) have a lesser engine. I also like the blind spot cameras that Hyundai has on this and many other models. When your blinker is on, it shows you what’s in your blind spot right in the digital IP. I wish ford would implement something like this.
  18. https://www.motor1.com/news/501230/2022-hyundai-santa-cruz-debut/ Reveal was today. Lots of pictures at the link. Here’s a few highlights: -optional 2.5L turbo 275hp 310 lb ft -5000 lb towing -bed is 52 inches long -hidden storage area in bed floor (like the ridgeline but smaller) after watching the reveal, I think Hyundai has a winner here. Production vehicle looks better than I thought it would. It basically has the new Tucson’s interior which is pretty nice in my opinion. I see this taking away sales from Subaru.
  19. https://fordauthority.com/2021/04/2021-ford-explorer-enthusiast-st-offers-st-performance-at-lower-price/ The new Enthusiast ST starts around 48k. The article mentions a bunch of things it comes with but I didn’t see it mention how it differs from the regular ST. It would have been nice to see them drop some more content to make it even cheaper. It would be awesome if they would make an XLT with the ST appearance package and engine in the low 40’s.
  20. So if you pay for the connected navigation and then your 3 years is up, what happens? It says “reverts to embedded navigation with no connected navigation services.” What does that mean? What does the connected navigation give you that embedded navigation doesn’t? $80/yr seems a bit ridiculous for something that is free on every cell phone out there.
  21. My local dealer had a Mach e and I went and checked it out. It’s a small vehicle and pretty low to the ground as it is. It’s hard to imagine this being smaller and lower.
  22. I’d be happy with any big bend pics without the mud flaps ?
  23. The Bullitt looks better, the GT500 looks and performs better. At 53k for the Mach 1, I’d rather wait for the next mustang redesign.
