twintornados
As you can see....with the "C" pillar window covered....it gives the car a much different look. The best part of this is....you can get it installed NOW, on either a Five Hundred, a Montego, a new Taurus, or Sable. The .pdf file shows it larger, and with detail close up shots as well http://www.egclassicsinc.com/inventory/upl...1montegosct.jpg http://www.egclassicsinc.com/inventory/uploads/479396.pdf Edited May 21, 2007 by twintornados
twintornados
Here's a .pdf of a formal roof in black on a silver Montego/Sable http://www.egclassicsinc.com/inventory/uploads/480396A.pdf ...And one with a landau roof (aka "half roof") http://www.egclassicsinc.com/inventory/uploads/1220396B.pdf Edited May 21, 2007 by twintornados
NickF1011
Just say no to landau roofs. Damn that's ugly. Edited May 21, 2007 by NickF1011
Watchdevil
Damn I actually like the way the more basic vinyl roof changes the roofline, hides the rear quarter windows and closes in the back window to make this look less like an old Passat. It now has an American car look. The simpler vinyl roofs look more tasteful than I expected, more like cars of the late 60's and early 70's. However the Landau roof with the coach lamps and wrapover chrome trip looks like shit and that is such a throwback to that overly padded look that took over in the mid-1970's. Anyway with this option they can officially put the Grand Marquis out of it's misery...
twintornados
Well....like it or not, it is available right now at a shop near you....I definitely gives the car a more "formal" look for not a lot of $$$

Roadrunner
It changes the roofline to make the car look less stubby overall. However, I still am unsure about the impact on visibility.

LincolnFan
I hate landau roofs, but if that can be done with the sheetmetal then WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY DO IT? Seriously, with the new front and that C-pillar this thing can take on the 300C and dominate it.
Joecool
From the owner of a 1974 Mercury Comet, that had a " halo top" never put a covering over a painted surface..... trapped moisture equals... rust!
