Does Toyota have anything like the x plan

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend is looking to buy a Toyota Rav4, I tried to get her to buy a Ford Edge but she didn't want to have the same car as me. Does anyone know if Toyota has something similar to the X-Plan and how we could go about trying to get a number. Is that even possible? Thank you for your help.

Posting the question on a Toyota site would probably yield better results.

X-Plan is a discount obtained through Ford employees. Suppose you'd have to track down a Toyota employee to ask, I doubt many post here.

But I hear that the Tundras have a $3500 rebate. That's probably better than X-Plan. :hysterical:

LOL :hysterical:

but seriously ask tommy on here, he is our resident toyota troll, he will tell everything good about the rav4 and every reason why you shouldn't have bought the edge

thanks for the help, I have sent him a message. As to why she didn't get a ford, she didn't find one that she liked, she tried both the edge and the escape and didn't like either. As far as my edge goes, I am getting it next week and am very excited, this is the first Ford I have ever owned.

The Maxda CX-9 is an extended Mazda version of the Edge and seats 7 with plenty of cargo space if she insists on a foreign nameplate. You can get X-plan on them too, Although I loathe anything foreign even if Ford owns it!

Hey ....I have an 06 Mazda MPV that is doing very well. I have also owned 3 Mazda pick ups and all had well over 250,00 miles on them. Mazda is one of the best "Fords" I have ever owned.

It would make me a hypocrite to suggest buying a Mazda when suggesting not to buy a Toyota, and for the same reason. Buy American and save our economy!

Mazda would be the ONLY asian make I would buy and only cause Ford owns part and I have had good luck with them in the past. I beleive that most of the Escorts used Mazda trannies, and I have had 4 Escorts with no troubles. SAme with the Ranger/B3000

I made a silly mistake and left Ford for Toyota- BIG MISTAKE- and I came back to Ford. Got my wife a Lincoln MKZ cause the Camry was boring and the Avalon looks like a Beluga whale. Got myself an Edge, cause the 4Runner is overly trucky, and I absolutely love my Edge SEL+. Back to your point, Toytata's idea of an employee discount was to charge $250 OVER INVOICE. If you were a smart customer, not an employee, you could haggle and wind up paying $500 UNDER invoice. Some deal for a loyal employee, huh? Anyway, I couldn't be happier back at Ford, and I wish Toyota nothing but misery. Bland styling is only part of the issue. If the cars were so great, there would be no Service Department at Toyota dealerships. Nuff said, I'm done.
