Here's a really easy quiz for ya, cal: Name the only country in world history that's used nukes. Twice.

(Hint: it's surrounded by the peaceful countries of Canada, Mexico, and Cuba.)

Are you a "christian?" :)

We did and I am proud of it.

Oppenheimer and crew did an excellent job. Admit it pumper your just a pansy. That's OK you have a lot in common with the rank & file here.

cal, it is clear that you are a LOSER, get yourself spayed or neutered (whichever is appropriate). that way you will not infect the world with your illbred offspring. or you could just end it all. have a nice day moron.

:)

OK tough guy.

It's too bad there is not a place where people like you and I could actually meet in person.

Some people talk a lot of shit and cant back it up. Your just working on complete sentences and capitalization. A war injury perhaps?

What victory? There has been no victory, and there isn't one in sight.

Just because george takes a photo op on board an aircraft carrier doesn't mean the police action is over, or has been won.

Saddam is gone. What kind of army do they have left? All they have is a few idiots strapping on bombs to blow themselves up, and a few Democrats criticizing the war effort. Face it. We won. You lost.

chicken hawk (CHIK.un.hawk) n. A person who now advocates war but who once took special measures to avoid military service. Also: chicken-hawk, chickenhawk.

Since I did not avoid the military it's NA or not applicable.

Your just a typical liberal. You should consider same sex marriage (unless your already commited) to that special someone.

Being an American citizen does not automaticly guarantee you instant prosperity. All it does is remove many of the obstacles that would be in place if you were living under a totalitarian socialist regime. The American pie is there for anyone who wants a slice. Go for it.

Your right there are no guarantees for anything and youn don't have a right to anything as well most all things are a privelage. A privelage that comes with this form of government. My feeling is that access to that privelage is getting harder and harder to reach.

Over the 18 years with the company I took advantage of some of the education benefits we have. Between my military education benefits and my FoMoCo I'm on my second 3 year certificate program in the electrical field. Started with computers but most of those jobs have or are leaving to India. The IT field seems to be best as a small or as your own private contractor. Switched to Industrial Electrician when I made the trades list and will wrap it up this June. Unfortunately list was froze in 02 but I want to see it through. With the advent of the "Baby Boomers" reaching retirement seems the Pharmacutical Field is blasting wide open. Shortage of pharmacists all over the place. Think it might be a good direction to head. Low impact on your body given my age and the time I need to work to start over. Wish I would have thought of this 6 years ago.

Well I've had bullets fly at me and sent many back the other way to include 40mm grenades. Lost two friends had my ear drums perferated, shrapnel in eight places from my right knee to my right testical and a whole host of aches and pains in places I did not know existed. U. S. Army Infantry 5th I. D., A. G. to my late 60 gunner "Dino" and I don't know what a chicken hawk is, does that make me a moron too.

I NEED YOUR SUPPORT !

COULD YOU HELP?

I am a senior citizen.

During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job.

I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse.

I lost my job.

I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.

I lost my homes.

I lost my health insurance.

As a matter of fact I lost virtually everything and became homeless.

Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me.

I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year.

Bush has to go.

Sincerely,

Saddam Hussein

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, liberals are just to funny!!!!!! I am sure these liberals would've felt the same way when a good democrat named Roosvelt/Truman had to fight most of Europe, have it split in half after their victory, had a large group of countries that were communist on the other side WITH the atomic bomb no less, sit there and make them ring their hands incessantly until...............................................Ronald Reagan appeared and put most of the problem to rest.

I know, I know, Reagan was EVIL too, just ask a liberal. But then again, I suppose that makes Roosvelt and Truman evil, not to mention Jimmy Carter for sending in helicoptors to get our people out of Iran which if successfull, woulda had us at war with someone in the Middle East long ago. And lets not forget Kennedy who actually faced down nukes 90mls from our border.

CONCLUSION------->MOST liberal presidents are not much different from their conservative counterparts in all reality on things of this nature, it is just the political rhetoric that comes from them when not in power must be opposite so they can get back in.

Guess what! It is all "spin" in fooling the voters, and as we can see by the huge intellect on this board who are naive enough to not understand how they are being played, it still, after all this time, works perfectly!!!!!

Any one of you who thinks that someone running for office that says, "I will pull the troops out the day after I am sworn in" will get elected is smoking something, and won't you please consider sharing that smoke with the rest of us over the weekend as it must be good, lololololol!!!!!!

Dark,

But it is true!!!!!!!

Name a president from either party in the last 40 or 50 years who has not taken military action of one sort or another.

I am not saying this from certainty, but I will be darned if I can think of one.

Each and every one of these events either caused a war, or were very close to causing a war, and all of them were not conservatives.

Once more, each "instance" has caused American lives, which means your words could be spoken to any of them.

Americans as a whole are not for war, or even "minor military action." I don't blame them, I am not either. Unfortunately, each president regardless of party affiliation deemed it neccessary to do these things; and the country was split because of it.

Trust me when I say the next president; regardless of who he/she is or the party they are from, will probably also have to engage in some sort of action. I hope that your consistant and complain again, regardless of what party they belong to, just as I will support them if the reasoning seems correct.

I am sure we will both be consistant in our feeling of loss in the people who give their lives for it, for it is an American tragedy that our young people have to do it, also regardless of which party holds power.

well just any action does it an injustice...the original gulf war was for a reason and was done ok....as some others..but this current 'occupation' has NO end period...... i dont see us leaving iraq for at least ten years....

adn people are dying (civ/mil.) for no reason other then for BUSH's war....we might not even have a 'war' if kerry OR gore was in there!!!

Your right. The war would be here instead of over there.

I would have more respect for Kerry if he knew hand grenades work both ways and how far one should toss it. Yep,commander and chief material alright.

Gore would have done wonders for the auto industry. He hates the automobile (biggest threat to the planet) yet the UAW endorses him? Thats not in OUR best interest, maybe the UAW's.

But then again the UAW only endorses any democratic candidate. It is all a shell game.

Correction #1. There never was a war. Congress is needed to declare war, and they never did.

Correction #2. If we had victory, there wouldn't be insurgents, and there certainly wouldn't be any more dead American soldiers.

Good grief dark, take an American History class........... so you can learn what the actual differences between the Republican and Democratic party are. It just might open your eyes.

I will simplify it for you. The Republican party: The glass is half full. The Democratic party: The glass is half empty.

They are the ying and yang of the same philosophy. Somewhere along the way, some politician sold you a bill of goods, and you believed it. Go read the actual beliefs of both parties, and you will find that they both say THE EXACT SAME THING, just in a different way.

No party is all good, and none are all bad. Liberals are not all good or bad............. same with Conservatives. I have an idea for you. Instead of quoting the UAW line, learn where the politicians, who are looking for your vote, REALLY stand on issues that mean something to you. It will take quite a bit of research, as they are real good at covering their tracks........... but the truth is out there. Then vote accordingly.

See, the two party system relies on your ignorance, to stay in power.

That said, I would much rather have us doing something in the middle east, than sitting here with our thumbs up our asses, hoping that noone attacks us here. Bush is right.......... Iraq is now the hub of terrorism. THANK GOD !!!! Much better way over there............ than over here. I would add this.......... have you talked to servicepeople who have returned from Iraq??? If you had, you would find that the vast majority of them support what we are doing, and have seen massive progress over there, and how happy the majority of the Iraq population are.......... that we are there. This is the stuff that the evening news does not report. This is the reality of the situation.

On a side note................ some of you actually supported Kerry??? LMFAO!!!! Good for you. Support someone who talks about caring about the middle class and the poor, while on the other side is married to one of the richest people in the world, who is gaining more and more wealth by............. can you guess??? .............. outsourcing to poor countries !!!! Woohoo!!!! Talk about "do as I say and not as I do."

PS, I believe in some of recent Conservative, and recent Liberal views............... as would most people............ if they were informed.

looks like you are one believing some other shit! i dont 'blindly' follow democrats! but on the other hand i look at 'what' bush has done and i see nothing but chaos! most of the other countries hate us....and our 'intelligence' is now reported WRONG! so we actually went to war for the 'wrong' reasons! hey good way to start a WAR. and then he says..yeah we love imports..at the same time telling us to get off oil imports.....

actually i have supported both parties at different times based on what they say/do and the 'historic' record

and if you care for iraq so much..why dont you go there and help out ?? or sign up in the military>?

oh i forgot they are killing/kidnaping new people every day and you wouldn't want to put your self in those shoes!

AND i have TALKED to alot of service people most support bush but do not agree why we are still over there! so blind support is not liek you are saying it is.

you are such a hyposcrite saying it okay to be the republican way(earning money off of other people) then saying kerry's wife is wrong for it ..WTF ??

The chaos was there long before W got in the Whitehouse. Do you actually think differently??? Who reduced the funding for our intelligence services??? Helpful hint........... it wasn't W. Also, everyone in Congress, along with the President, and half of the world (based on their own faulty intelligence), believed the same thing. 20/20 hindsight is all fine and dandy, but has little to do with the here and now.

Joining the military would be all fine and dandy, except for a couple of things. I don't think they are that excited about people who were not born here (born in Canada, been here since I was 9-months old), who are 41, and who suffer from severe asthma (and who have a 3-year-old). However, that said, I have nothing but the upmost respect for the military............. and have many, many friends who are current, or ex military. You don't have to be in it, to respect it fully........... and be thankful for it.

As for your last sentence................. huh??? English is good. Hooked on phonics maybe??? What little I was able to decipher.......... well........... I never claimed to be a Republican, never claimed to be a Democrat, and never said either party was right or wrong. I did say Kerry was a hypocrite. I think he did a pretty good job of proving that at the last election. I belong to no party, as I am unwilling to pledge my blind faith in any politician. I base my support of a candidate on their track record of what they believe (not just what they say), and what are the hot topics, that deserve my upmost attention, at the time. I'm sure I make mistakes, as does everyone........... but you will never see me stating any different (in other words, I am not all right, and you are all wrong). I just find many peoples perceptions of the two main parties to be humorous at best............... and ill informed at worst.

do you actually believe that it's all clintons fault for the intelligence SNAFU's that were there during W's time?????? and because of funding problems that JUSTIFIES what BUSH did ??? i dont care if they had 2$ of funding..they are paid to do these things and look at all the options...ALL bush did was rush into this conflict

and NOW it is dragging on and on..... at least during clintons term people were working, ETC....we also had no huge deficits! cant say things took 6 years to get it all fixed...bush has had plenty of time to get things fixed(as he says) he has not done so in fact made them MUCH worse.... i was mad at clinton for his lack of personal morals...but then again that didn't directly impact me...the loss of millions of jobs DOES.... oh well..i will never support the republican party..and almost same note i dont support abortion or gay rights....soo.. as far as phonics....hook on these nuts....

dark, as I'm sure you're aware by now, arguing with Americans who are on the right side of the political spectrum is hopeless. People like cal50 are in love with death and destruction. It's evident that facts don't matter to these people; reality is whatever they say it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S. military is bombing Iran right now. And when that happens, American chickenhawks like cal, Bush, Cheney, Hilary Clinton, and the rest will be cheering on from the safety of their homes and their keyboards. It's pitiful. <_<

Why even debate the issue?????? With all the facts not in evidence, we are just blowing smoke.

Let us look at facts that are in evidence and see if we can agree about the past, to prove we are all really on the same page and just misunderstand one another.

1.Bill Clinton was a good president as he really didn't screw anything up. Not any great legislation, just got the hell out of the way and let things roar. He was an excellent politician, although probably left something to be desired as a husband, but that is of no consequence to me.

2.George Bush the first screwed himself, did little of nothing, and will probably be remembered most fondly as being Reagans VP. He probably helped Clinton more than anyone else to get elected, but in retrospect, that was probably a pretty good thing.

3.Reagan was by far the best president since Kennedy as far as economics and foreign policy, and the democrats are very lucky that Bush 1 didn't carry on in the manner of Reagan or Clinton would still be in Arkansas.

4. Carter. Nice man in wrong position, would've been a great ambassador. His intrest rates alone should make everyone despise him.........and yet he was such a nice guy, we can't. He is the guy I would most like to live next door to me and debate on the patio political theory. After his abysmal performance, I am sure I could win everytime, and am sure with his demeanor, we would still be friends the next day.

5. Ford, another guess who.

6. Nixon was great in China, but will be remembered for watergate. His price freezes were poor economic policy.

7.Johnson. Great ideas, but decided to purchase with government money the calm he needed in society. Along with Reagan, had control during one of the most trying times in this countrys last 50 years. For what he had to contend with, did a pretty fair job.

8. Kennedy. How it all would have ended up is left to speculation. He is one of the best loved presidents for obvious reasons. His policys in todays climate would have been considerd conservative instead of liberal, which means his brother Teddy might've disowned him, lol. Got the missles off of Cuba, basically told the USSR to go to hell, kept our missles in Europe as a detterent, eventhough the easy thing to do was to give them away to avoid war when the USSRs missles were parked in Havana. Had a good looking wife. Was the right guy, at the right time. He and Reagan might yet end up on Mt Rushmore, and that is all ok with me!!

History teaches us the mistakes made, and right paths chosen. Each of these great men had opposition to their good ideas, as much as to their bad ideas. We have the luxury of hindsight to help us choose who was good, bad, or indifferent as far as these past presidents and their policys. The current policys we are debating on only have opinion to see us through. If the policys send us down the wrong path, the voting public will put someone in to change them, just as they did Reagan for Carter, and Clinton for Bush. And yet, I am thinking that those most polarized in their political party will begin to say that Reagan sucked, Clinton was a joke, or Kennedy was somehow useless. Those people we can't even consider listening to. They are the ones who hated Clinton because he was a dem, and now hate Bush because he is a repub.

History teaches all things, and when people are so pissed because their party is or is not in power that they besmirch the great ones who came before just because party of affiliation, we should all learn that they belong......together with the goofys from the far left wing, and the holier than thou from the far right wing, on a little island somewhere off the coast of France, lolol. After all, they don't understand the truth, most of us reside in the center of the political spectrum, and their antagonism towards each other just make us all not want to be involved in voting.
