NickF1011
Ford will do the mustang right, it is making money right now while everything else other the f150 is not. Now that's just a silly statement. The Mustang always was and always will be one of Ford's LEAST profitable vehicles.

Well that was mainly a guess on my part based on popularity, so how is it one of the least profitable vehicles?
Blueblood
I read that the GT500 was one of their most profitable vehicles.
NickF1011
I read that the GT500 was one of their most profitable vehicles. Most profitable for dealers. It probably LOSES money for Ford itself, or barely breaks even. SVT has rarely operated strongly in the black.

It is one of the most expensive to build and uses a lot of unique parts compared to other Ford vehicles. Once it goes to a shared platform that should change considerably, but for now I know it's not a cheap proposition to keep it in production. I think it took it 3 years to start making money this time, even at its sales numbers.
