did you know every government agency has a no strike claus ein it.

What the heck does that got to do with private industry ?? Any govt agency that has no strike clauses are because its deemed for the national good. Whether that be security of the country or to prevent govt infrastructure from collapsing or such.

Fine. So they did. So why are you crying over it still?? If it happens as you say, then so what, it is what it is. Close glass down. A couple hundred jobs at each plant is not going to shut the cities down. Those temps were just that temps. Now they can try to get a job that may have a real future. Others will retire, or move. I understand your point on keeping manuf jobs here, but at ANY cost ?? Oh yeah the loss of union dues......hmmm...yeah that is a cost. One I-UAW hasnt been able to stem for almost 30 yrs. Anyway it was nice having this pleasant dialogue. By the way as far as the catch phrase ," live to fight another day", we'll see how I-UAW handles Big 3's demand to expand that 20% lower tier to 40 or 50% next contract.

Come on waldofk :finger: Do you think that you are the only one who has thought of this. This was a major concern. The UAW Ford negotiating team went to the 20% in order to keep the senior members from humping ass on the line. They could have follow suit and been like GM/Chrysler and get rid of those jobs!! They negotiated to keep them jobs in house for our senior workers. The average number of those jobs, per plant, were around 20% of the work. Some more and some less, but it averaged 20% actually it was more like 19.3%. :shades:

This also saved the parts depots. This was thought of and the UAW is going to go after bring the work back under trad wages when the dumbasses at Ford gets the business turned around. Easier to do this when they are Ford employees then if it were outsourced!!

Do we have to hash this whole entry level thing out again. :shades: We did this 5 months ago!!

Yes it was a major concern....after seeing the dissention and commotion over it with Gm and then Chrys. contracts .... 20 % really had nothing to do with who humps where at the other 2, It was core and non-core , which by the way they are still trying to hammer out to this day.Um and they didnt get rid of those jobs with their contract, they designated them for the low tier, 2nd tier , grow in tier, lower class tier, or whatever PC term you insist on us calling them. And probably their parts depots also. Read my lips.....ALL I WAS SAYING...was wait until next contract when they insist on an increase to 40 or 50 %. If you think this contract is the bottom, methinks you are mistaken.JMHO, but we will see. Lets not rehash.....

What work have you gotten?

I do not know what they are going to do with it, just telling you what I saw today......There is 20 or 30 truck loads of Body Glass Brackets setting in the plant today. Stack after stack after stack.

Oh yea....no one ever responded about the question for Tulsa's Chairman, as to why Glass Design engineeres have been in NGP the last few days looking at N3 Furnace. While you are asking him that ask him why we have all these Body Glass Brackets setting here. He seems to be the only one "that really knows the truth" Inquiring minds want to know.

The buyer only really wanted Tulsa for the Architechture glass...

Ford says only if you buy all 3 as a package and supplly us with glass at our price.

Buyer agrees to that with conditions.....since he has to accept the union contracts they have to be "competitive".

That means, He himself will compete at foriegn market rates like everyone else...so that is the best deal he was willing to put his money into....91% of workers in the plant he really wants told him to go fuck himself...scared him off now....bye bye..

Ford will turn to foreign suppliers and make even more money on a car. Win Win for Ford.

Loss for UAW, the citizens of Tulsa and Nashville and some members have a hard way to go now as well.

Anyway, I will shut up I dont know shit.....like I said 3 months to 6 months

WHAT KIND OF QUALITY WORK CAN YOU GET FOR 14 AN HR AND SORRY BENNIES

I cant see why they would start up another furnace in nashville we run alot of glass from ngp and have problems with the glass all the time. ngp cant run good glass off the furnace and cant seem to run good glass off body lines either thats why we in tulsa end up getting all the parts anyway ngp deserves the kind of contract price offered thats the quality work he will get for 14 a hr anyway

Your an Idiot, you call standing up for other people by wrecking opportunities for the current workers and the future workers of those communites...you deserve to have your nuts cut off and stapled to your forehead you jackass.

Contracts do not start out the best in IPS you have to grow them up...just like we did in Ford...

I will tell you what Ford is going to do.....

Joe Hendricks.....WILL CLOSE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to assholes who think the "people up north" are out to fuck them.

The chairman of Tulsa is a complete asshole.

He didnt tell them they all could reload and make more money....he didnt say it would provide opportunites for more tulsa folks in the community....NAAAA He wante to show everyone he was a bad ass....The membership should revolt against this asshole....This guy seriously fucked up peoples livlyhood with his ignorant actions...

He could'nt handle negotiations himself and asked for help by the region....then the region asks IUAW for help...and they get the best deal they could get with a new owner. Now the Chairman blames IUAW for his own incompetance.....

This is a senerio that I would say Impeach the guy...if you want to have a chance in Tulsa.....

Thanks to you assholes you just gave Ford the perfect reason to ship the shit to China..You ignorant muther*&%S. And guess who gets the blame......the Union you supposevly love..because we won't do that kind of work..for the going rate here in America....Even tho we had the opportunity..you stupid son of a *(^T&*.

I bet Joe has the Tulsa plant closed faster than 6 months and thanks to Tulsa, Nashville will follow....who wants to bet me?

EVERYONE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THAY DO TO THESE PLANTS>>>

LETS SEE IF FORD IS CRYING WOLF THIS TIME.

The people in Tulsa who voted this shity contract down were all family. Would you want your kids to have those shity work rules no guarntee of having forty hrs a week? Look at how much was missing out of that contract look at what problems would come up everyday it was totally incomplete nothing but a joke is what it was honstly the wages were not bad it was the work rules , the rules that were not there were was the attendance part? What you miss one day your fired, your late your fired who knows do you. Iam a Ford employee and wanted to stay here but with a shity contract like that I need job security 40 a week. I stand up for our president and would rather help Ford put a lock on yha gate then work under bullshit like that.

Ok great job standing up......you make absolutly not one good point. So you have the option to leave...and ou think Tulsa kids coming out of high school would not like a starting job...at least it a job for someone other than a China worker/.

I guess that my point....Stand up for that lame ass sack of (*&^ President....He will be in an assy plant grinding his ass off everyday saying what did I do.....right next to 91% of his buddies.

Going rate for assembly workers is $40 per hour all-in. :stirpot:

Is it really on what product??? A complete Automobile????? You make sand into glass bro..not an automobile..

Thats not the going rate for assy....You need to check you fact and compare apples to apples...

Thats the established UAW rate for BIG3...you are not BIG 3....glass and intereriors....are not BIG3 anymore...

Godd luck with your argument.

Guess what, you are very wrong sir. You could not be more misguided. Ford is going to shut the doors ASAP....PERIOD.

They will make thier point.

Then what do you have left to fight for? an empty plant?

You going to strike or picket? How do you plan on fighting this "Battle"?

What about the people who would like a job in that community?

NO job is better than a 15 an hour job?

Or the people who wanted to stay and work and actually make more money doing it...

Oh, whats the use.....you dumb assholes scared any would be buyers off anyway.....

Watch as your shit leaves to China "Brother". :rip:

These post stay here...for everyone to see....lets see how it shakes....I still say 3 to 6 months they will be moth balled...

If Joe Hendriks does'nt close them.....everyone and I mean everyone will call his bluff...and then he has anarcy....

I met Joe.....he is no bullshit artist...he means what he says.

You are fucked.....I have a hail mary for you tho..Recall that stupid benifits rep of a Chairman you have and beg IUAW that you really did not understand the deal and you want a re-vote....maybe the buyer will reconsider....If you get him Laid.

But I doubt it because, who in the fuck would invest money in a buisness so dependant on labor and have a fucked up labor force?

Not me. Not you. and apparently....not this guy either....

CAN YOU ANSWER ANY OF THOSE QUESTIONS??

Oh I see what your "real" issue is....... you were wanting to double dip and now you can't. That's why it is ok in your mind to rollover for others. Also sounds like you are obsessed (based on this post and previous post) with the Chairman in Tulsa!

Did you ever think that maybe YOU don't know as much as you would like to think you know?

That doesn't even make any sense....now you have to pick your family up and move them to another state. Brilliant!! where else in the world, besides the big 3 do you get a gauranteed 40hrs?? I can tell you I have worked a lot harder for a lot less than that!! I think everyone that was not hired directly into the big can say the same.

The furnace in question is capable of making better quality glass than TGP currently receives. Not only have the Engineers started lloking at N3, but so have other furnace specialists. It's not hard to believe that Ford/ACH have always had a backup plan if either one or both of the plants voted no!

And someone at your plant puts molding on a car frame, what the heck is the difference?. And you're wrong, the going rate for assembly is what the new hires will get.
