Bluecon
Ford should try this with the Mustang. Lengthen it and add 2 doors. What a novel idea!!
Michael Reynolds
Ford should try this with the Mustang.Lengthen it and add 2 doors. What a novel idea!! ROFL! Just like that huh? Forget the fact that the Wrangler Unlimited was around for a few years before this made it's way to the market. Really what does the Mustang have to do with the Wrangler in the first place? Michael Reynolds
Somebody please tell me why the Mustang chassis cannot be legthened? I can think of two: weight gain and the rear suspension (one can only imagine how cold the press would be about it).
BORG
It's remarkable how many new Vehicles Jeep has been able to churn out so quickly.
RangeRover
It's remarkable how many new Vehicles Jeep has been able to churn out so quickly. None of which are stellar. Chrysler has a novel position amongst the big3. Any increase in sales at Chrysler is a coup. GM and Ford must succeed on a much larger scale. Imagine the negative press if Ford or GM had introduced that Horrid Commander. The oh so hot Chrysler 300 isn't even close to being one of the best selling sedans yet it's a bonafide hit...for Chrysler pacing 160,000 sales for 2006!! What's good for Chrysler would probably be luke warm at Ford or GM. I think Chrysler has done well with building multiple cars off of the same platforms but these models have not been great sellers. kevinb120
Well they had a few flops but this looks great. The compass looks like a disaster waiting to happen. They need to stay with what they know, and this one works. If it gets high safety ratings it will be a smash hit. This would save them from loosing all the Wrangler fan base that 'outgrows' the Jeep, most of them likely do not move 'up' right into the other products. They could keep half the current wrangler owners around for a second one.
