Every Union election I ever participated in the method of marking the ballot was a golf pencil, all I'm saying use a sharpie this time. As is the case with most elections if you do not vote in the manner that they set up your vote will be discounted. I hate pencil votes but if that is how your local does it then please do it the right way, I would hate to see votes discounted for failure to follow directions. It's not in the new deal, If you know someone retired ask them about the letter they got from the UAW like i did stating when they take over VEBA on 1/01/2010 ford uaw retiree's will lose dental and vision to be comparable to what Chrysler & GM retirees lost, and it was signed by Ron and Bob.
