SoonerLS Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 In defense of the Dodge, the 95 (?) put them on the map, and they didn't want to deviate too far from that formula. Before that they weren't a player at all. Ford has taken a lot more chances (or read their customers better) and is gambling a bit on size and MPGs. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just that Dodge rides their designs much longer than Ford (or even GM). And that '95 redesign took them from a distant 3rd to a not-quite-as-distant 3rd, but what could you expect when they'd been using the same basic design since the early '70s? It looks exactly the same. www.ramtrucks.com Remember - it only competes with other "Trucks" that were new or significantly updated. e.g. the F150 did not qualify.
