Progress on Orders for Fusion Energi and Hybrid Titanium

If you call CSX, they will tell you the final destination. More than likely it somewhere other than the major terminal. Just means another 24 hours to reshuffle before heading for final destination. At least that was my experience in Houston

My train is Union Pacific. Those are different companies or no? Thanks

I think mine is too. I call the 800 number (800-235-2352) for tracking and when I don't understand the city sometimes I speak to CS.

They don't have much information, but they can give you the current city and final destination.

You can track the UP train through CSX. Mine starts on CSX (in the US), went to UP (Union Pacific) then NS (Norfolk Southern). The only way I was able to track it was through the CSX #. Mine also has a SP railcar instead of ETTX.

I'm an idiot. I've been calling the CSX number the whole time, just forgot it was called CSX!

Anyone,

I was trying to find the assembly plant in Mexico, but having trouble with the address.

I know someone posted pictures, but I wanted to take a look with Google Earth.

Anyone know the coordinates or address that I can plug in to Google Earth ?

Carr A la Colorada Km 4.5, Parque Industrial, 83200 Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico

My car status is "Arrived at Global IV Illinois" which is a major terminal near Chicago. Anybody have experience with knowing Chicago cars final destinations? Just curious if it will move again or if it's done.

That appears to be one of the places that cars transition from the Union Pacific system to the CSX system.

My car arrived there at 6:18 AM this morning (April 7).

It's all downhill to Philadelphia from there.

I think my car arrived at its final rail destination early this morning. CSX says final destination is Westfield, TX. Car arrived in Spring, TX, but I am pretty sure they are one and the same. Took 24 hours from arrival to Houston to go the 20 miles to Spring.

Now the wait begins for the unloading and transport to the dealership. ETA is Friday. Hope it arrives early.

I have a buyer for my old car, but he wants to get the deal done by Friday at the latest.

Looks like everything is coming togeteher.

We're on the same train :) Well, we were!

Do you have any intermediate points between

April 5 1413 CT Herington, KS

and

April 7 0618 CT Global IV, IL

Use this address in Google Earth

3000 Centerpoint Way, Joliet, IL 60436

to see the switch yard at Global IV.

It was in White City, KS (early Saturday morning I think? Didn't keep track of times)

The next point I remember was Marceline, MO Saturday evening (I posted about that point earlier in the thread if you want a better timeline)

So I may be jumping ship from the Red and going with a White Platinum. My dealer has two that will be here in the next couple weeks (before my Red will even be scheduled and built). Frankly just tired of waiting since we ordered back on Jan 1 and still only have a VIN. We originally were going to get the 2.0T titanium back in Nov until they announced the HyTi. Kinda wish they wouldn't have teased us so long ago with this car. Although I know we're going to love it, we just out grew the Civic long ago and can't wait another month and a half or more for the Red.

Will know more on Monday. Hopefully I'll be changing my VIN on the spreadsheet and taking delivery soon!

It is hard to wait, especially considering the olden days when you could place a specific order and have it in two weeks. However, the three months you've waited so far is not bad for the car you're buying. For example, I put down a deposit on a Hybrid SE on June 12th, 2012. By early December, I had NOTHING, not a VIN, not a build date, and with the rumors about shabby builts at Hermosillo, I canceled that order after SIX months. I reordered a HyTi in late December, and my invoice date (and window-sticker date) was April 2.

Don't change your order. At this point, I think it's more likely to delay delivery than hasten it. <old Jedi mind trick - on> "You CAN wait another 6 weeks. Six weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things." <old Jedi mind trick - off>

Apparently we're not the only ones who can't get our HyTi Fusions. I spent a couple of hours at the New York International Auto Show at the Javitt's Center in Manhattan on Saturday and they had just about every Ford, car, truck and van imaginable BUT almost conspicuously missing was a HyTi Fusion... every other Titanium this and that but not a HyTi in the house... notta... just thought that was kind of funny... no Ford people there to bitch to... the executives get out of town right after the opening days...

My dealer realized that I know more about the car than they do ... They did a quick walkthrough of the main features, but nothing really Hybrid specific. They didn't even know the pump in the trunk could fill the tire with air or that flat fixing stuff. They were looking for a separate fix-o-flat canister :)

I did talk with the Hybrid specialist at the dealership and I was able to ask him some questions. He hasn't worked on a 2013 Hybrid yet (or so he said) and he was saying their hybrids are very reliable and don't come in for repairs.

Pump in the trunk what now?

Pump in the trunk what now?

I called it pump, but I meant the mobility kit :)

The kit consists of an air compressor to reinflate the tire and a sealing compound in a canister that will effectively seal most punctures caused by nails or similar objects.

Question... How did you all get your rail numbers? Was that from Cyberman or did you have some other source?

I will want to know in a couple of weeks :)

I got mine from cyberDman.

My car was built on a Monday.

I posted the request to cyberdman late on Tuesday evening.

He replied first thing Wednesday morning and it included the railcar number.
