Because of its size, CHP's order for 1,800 PIU over 2 years accounts for all the increase in PIU sales. It's just a pure timing issue... PIU sales suddenly took off this year because of the CHP order, not because agencies across the country have all decided to buy PIU. If you eliminate the CHP order, PIS is outselling PIU by a huge margin. That 1,800 increase over 2 years accounts for roughly 75 PIU sales per month increase Looking at the August and year to date figures, we see that both PIS and PIU are now neck and neck: Police Interceptor Sedan 1,341 (Aug 2012 - 1,289) (+4.0%) YTD 7,387 (2012 YTD 5,251) +40.7% Police Interceptor Utility 1,489 (Aug 2012 - 695) (+114.20%) YTD 8,777 (2012 YTD 3,552) +147% Edited September 24, 2013 by jpd80 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
