rmc523
Pickup deliveries totaled 84,902 units, up 9 percent year over year, led by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Crossover deliveries totaled 82,235 units, up 12 percent year over year, driven by the highest October sales ever for five different models: the Chevrolet Equinox and Traverse, the GMC Acadia and the Buick Encore and Enclave. Combined Cadillac SRX and XT5 sales were up 17 percent. The Chevrolet Bolt EV and Buick Encore had their best months ever. Combined Commercial and Government deliveries were up 10 percent year over year, and 11 percent calendar year to date. ATS and CTS sales continue to crater, down 41.7% and 23.9%, respectively; CT6 was down 39.5% too (Conti was down as well, but was still higher). XTS sales were up 49.6% though, so it probably stole some CT6 sales. Edited November 1, 2017 by rmc523
630land
Boy, those "Euro inspired" RWD Caddys are sure selling,... poorly. Even if called Nova or Chevelle, they'd tank. Imagine the howls of protest from old Boomers, about ruining the names. Like what happened with 2004 GTO. As for XTS, funeral homes taxi and limo companies have to restock on some vehicle, IMO can't wait for that POS to die
630land
Sonic is actually Korean, replaced the Aveo. The Lacrosse isn't selling since the traditional buyers either died, or switched to the Encore CUV. Bob Lutz swore up and down that RWD would have saved Pontiac, but the gear heads want resto mod 60s cars.
atomcat68
If Lutz had his way and made Pontiac all RWD cars, it would have died anyway. Only brands with strong CUV entries survived as that is the direction the market took. Crying over Pontiac is pointless because even under Lutz's vision the same fate would have occurred.

I like the CT6 more than the Alphas, its more in keeping with the true identity of a Cadillac car. Edited November 10, 2017 by jpd80

Both sell poorly. http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/company_info/facilities/assembly/orion.html
