Haha!  I think they have had a problem w their emails and their tracking.  They (dealership) still don’t know why my tracking isnt working either. Maybe it will soon!  We really arent all that far away from build weeks! I am still trying to refuse to get the least bit excited. You just never know w the times that we are in how long it will be before they are here.

It has been a trying few weeks for me and my family. I'm an airline pilot in Chicago and my company abruptly announced they are closing Chicago as a pilot base. So, starting in May I will now be commuting to Atlanta for work until or if we move down there.

So, apologies for my rant earlier. Just been a rough few weeks. But, yes, it's great to get the email and have further confirmation of the estimated build week.

No worries on any rants here :)  We work in healthcare so I totally understand the recent mess of things. ATL is a nice area. I’m just a bit north of there in TN. I hope thing work out well for your family w the job and the new ride(s) if your wife decides to get one as well :)

Thank you very much, I appreciate it. Things usually have a way of working out.

Yes, she drives mine any chance she gets, so we will likely get one for her.

Well that sucks but at least you can bum a ride to work. ?.  Atlanta is nice if you end up relocating, but stay South of the Airport.

Ha, yeah, easy commute until we move. Are you in Atlanta? I know traffic is bad, but while we have seen nice homes in Fayette County and Peachtree City, the Braselton area east of Lake Lanier looks nice, too. My wife wants to be out on Lake Oconee, so that is a possibility.

I seek homes based on proximity to Lincoln dealerships lol.

Yes we’re in Northwest suburbs up I 575.  It’s not a bad ride outside of rush hour but during peak rush hour it’s easily 2 hours or longer.  Braselton would be the same if not worse.  Lake Oconee or Peachtree City are better choices from a commute standpoint.

Thanks. We fly for Frontier and SWA so we may not be welcome in PC lol. She will be happy to hear your take on Lake Oconee and the drive to the airport.

Libations on me if/when we make the move.

I ordered mine the end of October.  It's replacement/reacquire from Lincoln - passenger seat randomly moves.  Fun fact, I consulted with a LL attorney who got Ford to offer $10K and I keep my car, I told them to send me a release and I would negotiate.  Sent the letter and got a call pretty quickly offering to buy back.

Ordered a Black Label, L Pristine White Metallic, Yacht Club interior, 2nd row Captain w/massage, console delete, heavy duty towing.

My car now is Rhapsody Blue, I love the color but I miss the metallic. Also, metallic is more forgiving than the flat colors. I kind of liked the Starlight Gray but couldn't see it in real life and was afraid to order!  Can't go wrong with metallic white!

Have the DORA form from the dealer, and the specialist is trying to expedite my build, but I haven't gotten anything else from Lincoln.

Thanks, Covid, going from a 2019 to 2022 with very little out of pocket! They made my initial offer to buy back in May, but due to stock limitations, it has dragged on... I'm okay upgrading, though!

Similar situation for me. Paid off my 2020 last month, so difference in MSRP and we went to the L. I could have jumped into a 2021 last year but opted to wait for the refresh and Sync 4.

We considered getting an Escalade ESV Plat instead - dealers are asking $20k + over msrp.  I got a great deal, plus about $5k in rebates when I bought mine.  I'll just pay the MSRP difference!

I got a new email moving me from week of 2/21 to week of 2/28.

Hopefully, the impact of this recent announcement (below) will have minimal effect on the higher level trim levels, such as the Navigator in and of itself. (i.e. don't waste the chips on the XLT Expedition when FoMoCo could put that chip in a Platinum or Navigator and sell a much more profitable vehicle.)

The Detroit automaker will also run a single shift or a reduced schedule at its factories in Dearborn, Kentucky and Louisville, while removing overtime at its Oakville factory in Canada.

Ford to suspend or cut output at 8 of its factories due to chip shortage

I'm in the ATL area as well and 2nd Akirby's opinion on staying south of the airport if you commute there a lot. Most of the Delta/airport employees live in the Peachtree City area. Some good places there would be Newnan, Sharpsburg, or Tyrone. Each of those have fairly quick access to I-85. I live northwest of the city in Acworth, which is about a 50 minute commute to the airport on a good day. The problem with staying north of the city is the unpredictable traffic to get to the airport. May take you 45 minutes one day and then 2 hours the next. Either way, you will like it down here and the winter's don't suck as much ?

Sucks to be me. My email changed mine from 2/121 to 3/7.

Yeah mine got bumped this morning back 2 weeks - from week of 2/14 to week of 2/28. Looks like due to the Ford cutbacks: "The Detroit automaker will also run a single shift or a reduced schedule at its factories in Dearborn, Kentucky and Louisville, while removing overtime at its Oakville factory in Canada."

I’m in Canton.  I never go past Kennesaw unless it’s completely unavoidable!

I fly for Frontier, and our parent company just announced we bought Spirit and will merge, so I will focus now on DFW since I grew up there.

My wording was poor. I expected to get pushed back, but my supposed higher priority moved me back a week later than another poster. Oh well....

I'm also seeing similar emails. At least the end is in sight...
