GearheadGrrrl
Worked at a Mercury dealer that carried the English Fords too in the late 60s, saw a couple Mk.1 Cortina wagons and lots of GT 2 door sedans but never a GT wagon. Not hard to believe it's real, this was before 17 digit VINs and safety+emissions regulations that required putting one off cars through all the hoops like today. A similar legend surrounds Dick Charbonneau's mid 60s Fairlane wagon with a 427 that dominated drag racing for years- Reputedly built that way for the Minnesota State Patrol, it was actually a six cylinder Post Office wagon with a 427 swapped in! But then again, maybe Ford did build some 427 Fairlane wagons? Edited June 15, 2023 by GearheadGrrrl

Rangers09
Drove a number of Cortinas when I was in UK and even had one shortly after moving to Canada. Believe it was a 73 Mk3, which I drove for a couple of years.
