Owning a maverick has made me realize consumers don't want a 20k car, they want a 50k car being sold for 20k.

How true-most entry level models have the same amount of equipment that was found on luxury cars 20-30 years ago. My Bronco doesn't have the same amount of "luxury" equipment that my SHO has, but to be honest, I don't miss 90% of it. Power seats are nice, but once I have my seating position set, I don't touch it. A heated steering wheel would have been nice (but I've only noticed that once in almost 3 years of owning it) and Homelink would have been nice too (just to get into my parents gated development), but I can always add a new visor at some point, just don't feel like spending $150 on something I'll use 2-3 times a month.
