  1. ok I've come up with another...the Ford Focus will be "The Car" of the NAIAS.
  2. I have a feeling the new Focus is going to blow everyones socks off....though that clay model in the photos is a really sorry looking Future Mustang I wonder what the back end of that car Mulally is standing next to is...
  3. I'd say most people that are on here aren't blind to what issues Ford has...quite the opposite. I think the primary problem is posting an article that ignores the weakness of that said car company. Look at all the negative articles about Ford over the years that where full of half truths. Why should I be personally offended by an entities actions who I have no control over?
  4. What the fuck do you expect, this is a Ford discussion board.
  5. Point I was making was that the Ecoboost I4 isn't going to show up in this Gen Fusion or Escape...
  6. Thats doubtful, The new Fusion is coming 2012 and I think the Escape and Mariner in late 2011. No sense in putting new engines into old platforms...
  7. Great points, I grew up and live in Jersey, which is more or less a giant suburb of NYC and Philly. Most people my age, in their Early to mid 30's, just starting out families etc have all moved South, To FL, NC and SC because of the cheaper cost of living down there. I dont see this "mass migration" to the cities either going on, esp since I'm more or less stuck in between the biggest Megapolis in the USA.
  8. would look 100% better if the headlights where smoked, or even hidden like on the older cars
  9. I'm out in Texas now, and we got a Grand Caravan with stow and go, I'm sitting in the second row of seats directly behind the Driver and Passenger seat and my first experience with it is the head rest is directly in-between my shoulder blades!!!! I had to adjust it, but the Seats suck for an adult from my first experience with it.
  10. The Equinox and Terrain are nealy mid-sized SUV sized...I know I saw a previous gen Equinox next to a first gen Explorer and they where virtually the same size. The Escape is a bit smaller then the Equinox. Another example I can think of is think of the equinox being about 5/8th to 7/8ths the size of a Sienna minivan The Cruze is C sized. the Aveo is B sized. So I'm expecting the Orlando to be roughly the same size as a Mazda 5 or Focus CMax
  11. I think the Focus is going into production the end of this year and on sale January 2011 Thus a 2012 model
  12. The only fault I see with the Edge dash is the wood grain on the dash looks like a console TV from the 1970s
  13. This is fucking AWESOME! I'm def getting this on my next Ford product
  14. Post your Predictions here: I think the new Chevy Aveo is already the most overy hyped car that hasn't been shown yet, and when it does, its going to land with a big thud.
  15. But the problem is that Ford is pushing the Taurus as an alternative to those Mid-sized Luxury cars also. The Taurus and MKS need more separation besides cost and better dealership experience.
  16. This begs the question, your being pretty open about this, does that mean its showing up soon as in next weeks auto show? :D
  17. You make good points here...and going back to the CUV vs Minivan debate thats going on over in the competition section....I think people are more then willing to give up some utility for style. The minivan is good for what it is, but its boring as a cardboard box and explains partly why they are so hated by some groups of people, but yet loved by people who value their utility over styling or other shortcomings in their eyes. It also explains why SUVs outsold Minivans back in their heyday.... So basically Style > Utility 9 times outta 10
  18. Ha your contradicting yourself here...earlier you where saying people where going to live more humbly etc because of whats happening now, but now your saying that 5-10% of the unemployment rate is going to evaporate between now and May/June time frame? You have to be kidding me! Its going to be at least another 2-3 years before it gets down under 8% unemployment rate in the USA if we are lucky.
  19. I'll interject some facts into this argument http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/steo/pub/contents.html Yep I agree with Nick, there is nothing, short of a war between Iraq and Iran and the closing of the Straight of Hormuz that would cause the cost of gas to go up to $6 bucks a gallon. Not to mention the world economy would grind to a halt if that happened. The whole gas going to $150+ barrel was the straw that broke the camels back when it came to the current ressesion we are in.
  20. I know the reviews of it in Europe have been pretty harsh....
  21. Um because it takes more crude to make more diesel? I know this is adjustable to a point but seems like Gasoline is at a 2:1 ratio to Diesel per barrel.
  22. Huh what are you trying to say here? There hasn't been a mainstream mid-size car (ie Fusion/accord etc) RWD car made in a really long time....
