  1. The more electronic gadgetry I see on these new cars, the less likely I am to buy one. It's simply not worth the time, the money, nor the hassle to deal with them long term down the road. Ridiculous. People need to get a remedial course on how to drive a vehicle WITHOUT POWER STEERING!
  2. One can question the timing of all of this, knowing full well most of these defective parts were installed under the old "GM" before bankruptcy; and you can also question the coincidental timing of how the government no longer has a majority stake in ownership of the new "GM". One thing for sure in my opinion... If a class action lawsuit of this magnitude is presented, who's liable? And if the current GM has to pay out? Who pays? I will say this though. GM will not survive another bankruptcy, and should not be given another life raft. (bailout) under any circumstances.
  3. I guess the answer to your question just got a response... What else do I have to say about it? :fan:
  4. Oh, by the way... UBER just got a big "F" from the Better Business Bureau. http://jalopnik.com/uber-just-got-a-failing-grade-from-the-better-business-1645622537 I guess people are starting to wake up and realize what kind of a ponzi scheme this company really is made of.
  5. Crossover? Doesn't the entire auto market have enough of these annoying "crossover" vehicles? I hate that term and the looks of most of these types of vehicles anyway.
  6. I wouldn't mind seeing a modernized version of a Ranchero type vehicle. Especially when you are loading appliances like washers, dryers, refridgerators, etc. in & out of it all the time. It would definitely have it's niche market and it would be easier for folks who do have existing knee/back and other medical ailments also. Yes, there is a benefit to it but would would the ultimate design be based off? Nobody knows, but like I said...just to have another choice for a vehicle out there for Ford should be considered.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ielavwtQSS4 It's been 30 years...What great memories this was! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmukTdo-WuY
  8. But Toyota got caught with the floor mat fiasco, sudden acceleration resulting in multiple deaths nationwide. How many deaths were related to diesel engine failures on the 6.0 Navistar Diesel? Answer that question bud... :fan:
  9. They figure, their buyers will just not change the oil anyway (Only because they are either too cheap, too lazy or too unknowledgeable). Problem will solve itself!
  10. A lot of new cars are ugly... but I think I said that back in the late 90's...
  11. And there's more... "Voltaire" - The Wild Wild West (He also played a different villain in the series) Another Mr. Larson classic... "Reace" Silver Streak "Jaws" A forgotten role with Jackie Chan from "The Cannonball Run II" The Longest Yard, Pale Rider... many other credits. Excellent career for sure... R.I.P.
  12. Actually Pioneer..., I nicknamed him a Bloated Joke. Ba-da-bing...Ba-da-boom!
  13. Allright guys...post your tribute pics, and youtube clips. Plenty out there. Having problems with my mechanisms right now. (Temporarily fixed)
  14. Richard Kiel passed away yesterday. Another one of the old school no longer with us. Many good TV & Movie roles. Hat's off to ya' big guy. Your work lives on.
  15. Maybe they'll advertise this RWD version on a commercial spinning around on a turntable with dancing robot arms. Anybody sick and tired of seeing that commercial yet?
  16. Still, I would have to agree with him from his perspective. There is no reason why the last of the late model Lincoln Town Cars would have that same plastic wheel cover look on those cars also. It cheapens the overall experience, but then again...Paying $70,000 for a truck is truly overboard IMHO.
  17. 5 brands I won't buy period. #1. Toyota (including Lexus, Scion) #2. Mercedes-Benz (too high maintenance) #3. Nissan (any of them) #4.Subaru (other reasons) #5.BMW (also too high maintenance) I could list more, but a lot of them would end up being in a tie for #1.
  18. I don't know what to say about this situation. Even though I am not in the market for a truck for the time being. My opinion is that it may have to do with the extra time involved with the metal composition of the truck itself. Aluminum is obviously a softer metal than steel, that we can agree on, but that aluminum as it's pressed needs to not have any sizeable dings, minute cracks in it, etc. That'll kill the deal right off the bat (from a buyer's perspective at least). And that's talking about a brand new, model year vehicle.
  19. This was one of many of Nick's best replies on this thread... Thanks for the memories Nick. The laughter lives on... ( I just can't believe some of these pictures are still up here.)
  20. It's definitely a win across the board. Now if I can only find another one of those Lincolns in nice shape from that mid to late 1980's generation. I miss the few I had over the years.
  21. Robin Williams, a genius! A comedic genius, I can remember watching "Popeye" on one of the original cable channels back in the early 80's. Makes me want to watch it again. Same goes for those Mork & Mindy episodes. I can't believe he is no longer with us. I guess tough times need laughter to get by and he was needed somewhere else. Godspeed Robin, you did great work.
