  1. Exactly, 10 seconds is toyota yaris teritory.
  2. LOL..did I hit a sore spot? Please don't tell me you drive a Chebby? Even though it says Focus? Lesbaru is a real common term where I live. The Butch lesbo chicks will kick your ass and tell you so!! I'm friends with a few that have more facial hair than me.. so relax my friend..
  3. I see the hippies and lesbians (Lesbaru) are holding true to their locations. surprised by Honda in Virginia. GM, well . i feel sorry for them.
  4. It was a love and hate with the truck (obviously). I loved the raw power , but it started falling apart on me. I went to my local dealer for another peek at my power train. They said their drive line guy was gone that week and I'd have to return because they didn't want my truck to sit for a week. I was already researching Edge & Escapes along with other makers. In the small SUV category it was slim to none to get Class II hitches (i have a utility trailer for quad and what not). I already had in my mind the Escape would be it. By this time I was ready to dump the truck and had a Escape preselected from another dealer that had everything I would have ordered ( no panoramic roof, 18's not 19's, 2.0L, magnetic color, Titanium). It was sorta a knee jerk purchase. I asked the sales manager who I've dealt with before if he could get me the suv on a lease. He said yep, had it there the next day and I took delivery last Friday. So now we have a 2.0L Escape. I LOVE it. the mpg is what I expected . My current tank is at 22.4mpg. Thats 10 mpg better than the F150 and feels just as quick. The sound deading is not a good as our Fusion or F150, but it's a small suv. It's great to drive and a Godsend in parking lots. I don't miss my truck at all.
  5. Mine only got 11.9 right when I got rid of it.. Something was seriously wrong with that truck.
  6. at the very least, an Auto Trans should be offered. I've been to many different sites and I'm not alone. They would move more performance division cars (bigger profits) if they did.
  7. very nice ride, enjoy... I think this Focus looks better than the new one coming.
  8. ^ good grief, I thought testing was supposed to limit these idiotic recalls (starter button location).
  9. I'm sure the SD 6.0L diesel fiasco ( '03-07) will rank right up there.
  10. ^ definitely, the 2.7 can hold it's own. I was curious on why he was revving the 3.5EB up and down then left the line? The best launches I get is 4 wheel engaged, spool up to 2300 RPM and let her rip. He wasn't mean enough to the 3.5, just kinda babied it .
  11. ^ there's no way it was a full 1/4 mile or even 1/8th. The fastest 2.7L article i've read puts it at 15.1 seconds, almost a full second behind GM's 6.2L. The 3.5EB clocks in at 14.8. edit... I just looked it up. The fast lane did the test and the length was only 282 feet. The 2.7 will get walked on the big end.
  12. Wow, it looks awesome!! Even non Lincoln fans should be amazed on how well it looks. This will definitely get the attention of Audi, BMW, Lexus X-over buyers. Now, they need to advertise the snot out of it.
  13. whoa, so the 3.5L V6 won't be in the Edge anymore? Not just the Sport, but any model?
  14. The GM's 6.2L are Beast. The 5.0L had no chance. It made a great showing, especially shaming the Ram and toyota 5.7L's. GM's 14.3 sec 1/4mile times are down right nasty. You're talking sports car realm with those times :eek5: .
  15. OK, well in your link it says the 2.7L makes 325 HP/ 370 lb-ft, notice there is no ( * ) or "see #68". If you build a truck they will contain the ( * ) at that point you refer back to #68. Ford used to have the " * achieved on 93 octane" right next to the 2.7L engine, but removed it right before launch. It has been well documented the 2.7L makes claimed power on 93 octane, but it will run fine on "regular" which they advertise because nobody wants to run premium in a truck. It's games all manufactures are playing. Yeah the recomended fuel is 87, but you won't make the "PEAK" horsepower on it. Nobody from ford will answer the question if the new 5.0 L makes advertised power on premium, but we all know it does. The only engine I've heard makes advertised power on 87 is the 3.5L EB. I can neither confirm nor deny because Ford won't answer my question. The Fusion has it written plain as day (240 on premium, 231 on 87) while saying "recomended fuel = unleaded regular" http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/specifications/engine/ Ford doesn't do that to the F150 because it's their bread and butter and know truck buyers are always into pissing matches with power. Fusion buyers aren't so concerned. I wish they'd be honest and post real numbers like the Fusion page.
  16. On your link at the very bottom it says "additional disclosures". Click on that and scroll to number 68. It says achieved with Premium fuel, which means 93 octane.
  17. I'm not complaining that the engines lose power on octane. I'm just a little miffed they choose 93 octane for ratings. Why stop there? Why not just run VP C-23 and advertise that power? Afterall, we can all order a drum of it and it'll make that advertised power. Same difference as me having to buy octane booster to reach advertised power.
  18. 10 hp is actually big IMO. How would you feel if you bought a 3.5 ton a/c, but since you live in state "X" you can only get 3 tons and have to pay for the 3.5 unit.
  19. It's a BIG deal if you cannot buy (93 octane) the claimed power. Why aren't they advertising peak HP on 91 octane which the whole country can buy.
  20. That sucks, I wish they would pull the engines and sell them with no warranty.
  21. looks like some body shops will get early practice with aluminum repairs.
  22. I think MT is just trying to rattle some cages. They said RAM beat the F150 recently and now this. Antaus pointed out the obvious ( near same mileage while being smaller, less capable, and more plasticky, etc.). I think they feel Ford is getting too much "good" press lately and want to be different. Ford has some of the most exciting vehicle line-up right now ( ST family, GT350, Raptor) and they are just trying to cool the flames.
  23. good luck dealing with cyberdman... he's the Hitler of BON. One tintsy mistake and he'll crawl all over your ass. You're better off tracking on your own. Supposedly Ford is offering a new tracking system. I read it on a F150 forum, I'll see if it applies to all makes.
  24. I love how it has paint all the way down. Not the plastic which fades and gets discolored from wax, etc. That's my only complaint with the Edge. All models except the Sport have plastic all around. I can't get a trailer hitch with the Sport so that's not an option.
  25. wow, this would steal sales away from Jeep and all their problems with reliability.
