  1. Maybe this is the one that Max Wolfe changed. The profile does look like the camouflaged prototypes that are driving around detroit.
  2. How about that MKZ?... Who the f@*% left that out on the table?!!
  3. And of course because it's not coming to the U.S., they like it. But as soon as it does get released here, they'll have endless complaints and it will come in last place in a comparison test to the Toyota Tacoma and Honda Ridgeline. Same old BS from Moto-rooter.
  4. I never said that all luxury makes have old buyers. I said don't consider it a mark of shame. The older people who are buying the Caddy/Lincoln/Lexus cars were most likely the ones buying your Chevy/Ford/Toyota cars when they were younger. That's how you reach the new buyers and grow. Show the people in your non luxury brands there is something to move to so they don't have to go to BMW or Mercedes who don't have lower priced brands that saturate the market. Acura and Infiniti may have younger buyers, but they, like Lincoln don't have a great market share. Also, I'll bet that the Acura/Infiniti/Audi buyers are older than Honda/Nissan/VW buyers. It's about recognizing your strong points and moving from there.
  5. Also remember, older people who have an entire career behind them and life savings can better afford a luxury car than a young person just starting out. I would never be embarrassed to have a high senior take rate on my car line. Another factor to consider is that there is a much higher percentage of older people in the population now than a generation ago.
  6. I know what you're thinking with the Toyota drivers... but most of the Toyota drivers I see are younger, they just drive slow.
  7. I know, 9 speed seems excessive. At a certain point, you might as well use a CVT.
  8. But in Honda's case, both cars suck. For the record, I despise that Acura much more than the Crosstour.
  9. That is a sexy car! Good job, Dodge. We can soon erase that terrible Caliber from the market!
  10. Oops... I should have clicked the link first. Yes,... I can't forget that thing. I did read about that. I hope that thing was killed with fire. It deserved it more than the Volt.
  11. Who?... I'm serious... I didn't know who this was and I can't say i'll miss them.
  12. If they do that then the customers will neglect the company and they will go bankrupt again.
  13. And now for the bad news... Based on Richard's photo, Motor Trend said that this shows that the MkZ is poorly built and they are angry that Ford didn't tell them it was not a production car.
  14. Based on Richard's detailed photo, I must say I'm happy they resolved the problem of the Tuxedo Black paint shortage.
  15. Did you notice that in all the comments on the video , no one mentions that it is dangerous to drive a car while filming?
  16. My 2 cents on the Mustang is that the base price is now around $23,000 when in 2005 it was $19,000. 2010 was the time of the car sales crash and the Mustang'e restyle and price increase. (The new interior was passed on to the customer.) There were many great features added to the Mustang like the new engines and all, but the customers still expected the same price. Then it also got competition. Combine that with it having the same basic shape from 2005 on, (A shape that I personally still find beautiful.) and I think you have the formula for the sales decrease. I hope the new generation changes that. And there should be a base model with a... dare I say it... a turbo 4.
  17. Dodge was the last brand to push a wagon (Magnum). They quickly placed the Charger in the line up and made the Magnum go away. The Magnum's poor showing may have had more to do with it not having the room or visibility a wagon should have rather than the American buyer being squeamish about being seen in a wagon.
  18. Fiat/Chrysler/Sergio/Jlo ads seems leads his rants lately.
  19. For those comparing fuel economy to the old 5.4, remember you are getting a lot more HP (40) from a much smaller engine and getting the same fuel economy. Before, to get the extra HP, you got a larger engine and lower fuel economy.
  20. If they had a smaller Fiat based van to replace the Caravan, this would be fine. They would have different price points. But dropping the T&c in Canada?!!... Someone made a comment before about GM product planning with a magic 8 ball. I'd say Chrysler/Fiat is using it too.
  21. Holy S#@%! I think they are training the next generation of James Bond henchmen!
  22. The auto mags will compare the cars... But as you all know, they'll throw in a Hyundai Azera or something else and declare that the winner. Think of the absurd MT pony car test that declared the Hyundai Genesis the winner.
  23. The boxy Escape (Maverick) sold poorly in Europe and was dropped from the line up. Being boxy does not have as much to do with the Yeti's success as its other attributes.
  24. Agree. The MkT is perfect for business fleets. But the stretch limo should also be the Navigator.
