  1. It's from their website. From past experience that might not be 100% accurate, but I drive by their lot every day and it does seem representative of their stock (Though they may be hiding some grandma keys somewhere, I didn't notice that many on the lot)
  2. My local LM dealer (Where I get my Fords serviced) has: 6 MkS 2010 4 MkS 2011 11 MkZ 2010 0 MkZ 2011 12 MkX 2010 0 MkX 2011 (Duh!) 10 MkT 2010 0 MkT 2011 7 Milan 2010 15 Mariner 2010 4 Mountaineer 2010 10 Granda Keys 2010 4 Airport Shuttles 0 Navigators
  3. It's a shame the Volt doesn't look more like the original concept. I wonder how much it would have impacted the fuel economy. I keep expecting them to go with the window in window feature from the Subaru SVX.
  4. If I were in the market for an MkX I'd have to give the Q5 a look, though I've promised myself I will never buy a VW product again.
  5. I really like the look of the new GC, but I won't be able to bring myself to buy a Fiat product for a few years (if ever). The SRX is actually a very nice looking SUV, and more comparable in size to the MkX than I would have thought. Too bad it's saddled with two dog engines.
  6. Really? Lately I've seen more recent vintage non-Vics. Maybe we're in different parts of Chicago (I'm in the Loop). I see a lot of Scions, the occasional Sienna, quite a few Escapes, even a couple Flex, when I see a Panther, more often then not it is a recent vintage Grandma Keys - Ford making the Vic Fleet only seems to have driven smaller outfits to it. I do believe NY requires the vehicles to be new.
  7. Interesting compared to the Taurus and FLEX Explorer Wheelbase 112.6 Taurus Wheelbase 112.9 FLEX Wheelbase 117.9 Explorer Length 197.1 Taurus Length 202.9 FLEX Length 201.8 Explorer Height 70.4 Taurus Height 60.7 FLEX Height 68
  8. I think you are confusing Ti-VCT with DI. Ford does not currently offer the 3.5 with DI in anything but the Ecoboost models. Ti-VCT is not DI. (Yes, LLN says DI - but I'd put money on them being wrong)
  9. There are too many versions of the Cyclone at the moment IMHO - Between Taurus/MkS/Explorer and Edge/MkX/Flex/MkT there are the 3.5 w/o Ti-VCT, 3.5 Ecoboost, 3.5 w/ Ti-VCT, 3.7 w/o Ti-VCT, 3.7 w/Ti-VCT [MkX] (Not to mention both CAP and OAC will start seeing the 2.0 Ecoboost as well). Will Ti-VCT make it across the board for simplicity? What about the 3.5 Ecoboost, could that be the "upgrade"? I'd like to see the 3.7Ti in the MkS, MkT, and PIs (Seems a better option than the Ecoboost for the PIs)
  10. Looks like Jalopnik has gone Gizmodo. They're both Gawker so I guess it makes sense.
  11. The 2005 Model was the first MCE. 2008/09 was the second.
  12. Good thing Isuzu is out of the US, or there would be an Isuzu Theta as well. Don't forget the SAAB CUV will be on Theta-Epsilon (TE - SRX). The GM folk would point out the Theta and TE are "related" "but not the same platform".
  13. Not sure the full plan had been worked out, but Turbo, DI (With and without Turbo), and Hybrid applications were mentioned when Cyclone was first unveiled.
  14. CD2 is the Escape platform. It's scheduled to go the way of the dodo.
  15. Right, not out yet, but in beta. It's beta testers who are reporting that 4.1 has the necessary profile. I suppose it could be pulled from the actual release if it causes some other issues. Not sure about the timing of 4.1, but I'm looking forward to it as it is also supposed to address the proximity sensor issue I'm having with my 4.
  16. All 4.0.1 does is change the bars to make it look like you have a better signal than you do. 4.1 is the version which is supposed to add Bluetooth control (As I said up above).
  17. I'm sorry Richard, I missed it. Do you own a vehicle with SYNC? Ford evidentially has gotten enough complaints about it to warrant a TSB.
  18. On non-nav equipped vehicles with SYNC, the volume of the voice prompt is tied to the volume of the bluetooth hands-free volume. The volume of the voice prompt is easily 2x that of the hands-free when the hands-free volume is pegged on the phone. You either need to live with the voice prompts being painfully loud so you can hear your callers, put up with not being able to hear your callers so that your ears don't burst from the voice prompts, or constantly adjust the volume to adjust for the difference in sound.
  19. Apple infiltrated Ford and made SYNC not work right with Android and Blackberry phones as well? Is Apple perfect, heck no (While I do not have the antenna issue on my 4, their handling of it has been laughably poor, and while I own a Macbook I hate OSX with a passion), but the majority of the issues that I have with SYNC affect users of phones from multiple manufacturers. My biggest issue is the volume of the voice prompts in relation to the bluetooth volume. Until iOS 4 it was the biggest topic on syncmyride.com and affects users of multiple devices. Ford has issued a TSB on the issue which essentially tells dealers to tell customers to pound sand.
  20. SSSHHHH.... You're not supposed to say anything negative about SYNC on BON, BTW1: The next version of iOS (4.1) should support steering wheel controls over BT. BTW2: My iPhone 4 has been working better with SYNC than my 3G (I'm not convinced that it isn't a fluke, but it seems to remember to switch to dock connector on it's own when connected.) BTW3: Ford has acknowledged the volume issue I have with a TSB, which basically says yeah, it doesn't work right, but that's how we meant for it to not work right.
  21. "Hey let's show off a picture of the headlight!" "Yeah, hey, what about that fitment issue?" "Ah, no one will notice" Seriously, who ever approved using that photo should be fired. The seam between the bumper skin and fender looks awful.
