  1. Improving dramatically from REALLY bad could still not be good. According to Truedelta their repair rate is almost 4 times the average for mostly electrical isues.
  2. The Mustang does nead to take a hint from the past... They need to look at the fox body mustangs and make the damn thing smaller and lighter... oh, and more affordable.
  3. I wouldnt mind getting a Frontier NISMO for 40% off MSRP. My friend has an 05. Its a really nice truck and we averaged 23 MPG with it over a 2000 mile roadtrip 2 years ago. He normally averages 18-20 MPG with it. Oh, and it by far more comfortable than my 2000 B-3000 was.
  4. The last generation Continental had them... well it had the electoluminescent (sp?) gauges that dissapeared when the car was off.
  5. I know how you feel. I bought my loaded 06 SEL for $23k at the end of 06 after reading that the residual value was expected to be high on this case becasue of the quality and whatnot. I'm actually pissed now because Its worth $16k and I still owe almost $19k on it. I should have gone with something that would have cost a little more but still worth something.
  6. So we will get another 3 years of a truck that really needs new engines at the very least?
  7. Actually. I had a 1994 P71. It was a nice car and I'd like an LX sport... but I need the versitility of a hatchback if I'm gunna be driving a car.
  8. I will be first in line for a next-gen Focus 5 door. It will be replacing my Fusion.... after having this car for 2 years I determined that sedans suck.
  9. My grandfather has one in a 93 Grand Caravan. The water pump went at almost 250k miles. It now has almost 300k on it and runs like its new. He beats the crap out of it (hauling junk) and never takes car of it. But it runs like a champ with only the waterpump ever failing.
  10. THe original SS was supercharged because GM already had a ton of experience in supercharged cars (GTP, Regal GS) and they would make good power quickly. The supercharger was dropped and then replaced with a turbo because they couldnt get the supercharged motor to meet new emissions requirements.
  11. Why does the front bumper look like it dosnt quite fit right? Check out the picture taken from the side showing the corner. There is a HUGE gap between the fender and the bumper.
  12. It can be done. I used to live down the street from a Mazda-Mercury Dealership. The dealers are independant and can group the brands how ever they want. Hell, my brother used to work for a Buick-Nissan dealership.
  13. Is the transmission a 6-speed auto or manual? The article also said that the update will be a 09 model with a new nose and interior. I though it was pushed back to 2010.
  14. They do.. or at least the dealer does. I get at least 1 thing a month in the mail to let me know im almost due for one or that I've missed it... then they throw in all sorts of coupons and junk. If the dealer wants more traffic shouldnt it be up to them, as a franchise, to do it themselves?
  15. My mom almost traded and 03 SVT Focus for an 07 A4. I managed to talk her out of it. She got an Escape Hybrid instead.
  16. Does the interior smell like the hallways in my apartment building?
  17. OH NO! not the lug nuts... wait.... the chrome lugnuts on my Fusion are rusting too. Wanna start a flame thread on that too?
  18. I havent read the article in my MT sitting on my coffee table yet... but why was the Focus left out of the comparison? Was it too cheap for the article's "base price" of around $20,000?
  19. I agree. While I have not yet driven the new Focus, I drove a 99 SE and a 2003 SVT. Both were incredible cars. My ex has an 06 Corolla. I hated driving that thing. I test drive the new Civic. It was loud over rough roads and handled worse than anyother car i tested. The new Focus is really nice (except the front end) and im glad to see it doing well.
  20. yeah, I know. Its been over 3 months since I last watched Part III
  21. I read somewhere previously that the S has plain fenders and only the SE and SES have the vents.
  22. But the Mr. Fusion will only power the Flux Capcitor. You still need gasoline to power the internal combustion engine to get the Delorian up to 88 miles per hour and there wont be a gas station around here a while.
  23. All Ford needs to do to make it not as ugly is offer an option of a body painted grille and no fake fender vents. I would gladly pay an extra $50 to get that on a Focus and then I would consider buying one.
  24. The Challanger is WAY to heavy. The SRT-8 is only marginally faster than a Mustang GT. Thr problem with the Challanger is that they based a "muscle car" coupe off a large sedan platform. It would be like if the Mustang was based on the Panther platform. Chrystler went to cheap designing it. They needed to start with a fresh platform for it that didn't weigh more than 2 tons.
