He is right most of the time. Just wait until he’s wrong and watch the toddler throw a hissy fit.

Ford Updates EV, Hybrid Plans, Readies Manufacturing Plants

Producing more hybrids, scaling back EVs to match demand that has somewhat plateaued and waiting for next gen cheaper batteries. If only somebody had suggested that 3 years ago…… -
Ford Q1/March 2024 Sales Results

Demand was never a question. -
I think when this happens with Ford they just sell the vehicle to the dealer at a huge discount to get it off the books. Maybe @ice-capades can confirm.

Ford Q1/March 2024 Sales Results

The main reason is folks are buying them before they’re gone. This is the last month unless something changes. -

RTFM! Just to clarify the part I was calling stupid was the ridiculing, not your personal preferences. I agree the V8 is better but that doesn’t mean the ecoboost is bad. And the point of comparing the cobra is that the base ecoboost is better than the top mustang V8 just a couple of decades ago. Sound isn’t everything and the original Mustang was far from a barn burner in 1964. So I respectfully disagree that the ecoboost is somehow a crime against history.

In this case Texasota is 100% correct. All those articles are saying is that based on a sample of real world fuel economy (sample being the key word) owners are using more gasoline than predicted which means they aren’t driving as much on electric power alone. However - that could also be because the owner drives 150 miles a day not just because they aren’t recharging. And his point is still true - even if you don’t plug in a PHEV it’s still as good as a hybrid and still far better than a non hybrid.

Money is almost always the answer. -
What is there to go after? It’s a completely free market with multiple carriers, multiple OSes and multiple phone mfrs. Apple was first to market with a capacitance touchscreen smart phone back in 2007 and they had an existing base of iPod users. So of course they dominated the market early on. People like Apple products because they just work and have a lot of cool features. Our family has been iPhone / iPad users since 2008-ish and I have 37 years in IT including Unix programming. I’ve never found something on our Apple devices that I wanted to change but couldn’t or something that I hated or couldn’t do. ICloud and Apple Pay work great. I can send text messages to the family and most friends from my iPad with only wifi. I’m sure Androids do certain things better or allow more customization but nothing I care about. And I’m certain that’s the case for most Apple users. If you do those things and prefer Android, more power to you. But I suspect a lot of Android Users just don’t like the control Apple has over apps and hardware. But to me that just allows them better quality control and until that causes me a problem directly I’ll stick with them.

Next-Wave EV Buyers Want 350-Mile Range, 20 Minute Charging

Bit those aren’t high voltage either. -
It’s possible the Canadian hybrid includes more standard equipment. For US it’s only the engine.
