2018 Shelby GT500KR with Twin Turbo V8?
98GMLS replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I still think the power train will be a 3.5 TT. Can't see then only using the HO version just for the Ford GT and Raptor. But hope I'm wrong and its a 5.0 or 5.2 TT. Or is Ford working on a smaller V8, maybe 3.2 to 4.0 Litre, with TT? -

The Flex should be turned into a awd minivan. I read some where it was originally designed with two sliding doors. MKT will most likely be the new 7 seater Aviator. Taurus has be to build along side the Conti. If it doesn't, then that would be one odd business plan. Unless the plan is to make Conti and Taurus a rwd sedan on cd6.

Ford Motor Company December 2015 Sales, Year End Totals
98GMLS replied to ANTAUS's topic in Production and Sales
Flex should be updated with an extended Edge wheelbase and styling. MKT should be updated with an extended MKX wheelbase and styling. Maybe their sales will increase. -
The Cars of "Gone in 60 Seconds"...15 years later

Nice list. I watch the original 1974 Gone in 60 seconds yesterday on YouTube. Pretty kool movie. Some nice classic cars in that one as well. -
F150 Might Have a Land Rover Turbo Diesel V6
98GMLS replied to ANTAUS's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Makes sense, this should of happened for the 2015 model year. They will continue to dominate the market if it gets the v6 diesel. -
Next gen GT500 to have AWD?
98GMLS replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I thought by now we would get some info on the next GT500, but since there's a lot of rumors about the drive train, and no official word from Ford. I think the article might be correct and the it may share the 3.5 EcoBoost with the GT supercar. AWD might be kind of kool with that much power. If the 3.5 EcoBoost can make over 600 hp, will Ford actually invest in an EcoBoost V8? Personally I'm for the V8. -
2016 350R vs 2015 Z28 Motor Trend

Was there any doubt that the GT350 R was going to win. Very impressive. Need this engine in a sport sedan. -
2017 Lincoln MKZ Debuts with 400-hp 3.0EB V6
98GMLS replied to rmc523's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Finally a great looking product from Lincoln. Now Lincoln needs a performance division, The Red Label sounds good. 3.0 TT for the MKZ and Conti and 3.5 TT for the Red Label, then we can give the V Series some competition. -
What I still don't get, why the Mustang is still only available with a 6 speed auto? The Challenger has a 8 speed since 2015, now the Camaro has a 8 speed, why is Ford always behind? We keep hearing they are working on a 10 speed, when are we going to see it. This is where I think Ford/Lincoln lags behind the industry. Crappy transmissions. The 5.0 needs more HP and torque as well. Might be 2010 all over again, Ford launches a re-design Mustang and did't upgrade the drive train until 2011. New Camaro comes out with more powerful engines and stole the sales crown away from the Mustang. Hope history doesn't repeat it self again.

Ford Fusion spied in souped-up ST trim
98GMLS replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I think the next gen 3.5 TT will only be for RWD applications, F-150,F-250, Navi, Exped and Mustang. 2.7 TT will be for FWD/AWD applications. 3.0 TT will be only for Lincoln, Cont, MKZ, MKX and Aviatior. -
Ford Fusion spied in souped-up ST trim
98GMLS replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
With the Fusion getting the 2.7 TT, this thing will be quick. If the Edge sport can run 5.5 0-60, then this the Fusion might be in the high 4's. Faster than the SHO. It's about time the Fusion got a performance version. -
BREAKING: SRT Hellcats And HEMIs Set To Die In 2019
98GMLS replied to silvrsvt's topic in Competing Products
So do you guys think the Dodge has some inside info on Ford, meaning some have suggested that the 2017 GT500 will be powered by a 3.5 EcoBoost V6. That's why Dodge will be dropping the V8 for 2019. -
The next Shelby GT-500?
98GMLS replied to calypsocoral's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Ford will one up the Dodge Hellcat, so either way it will be over 707HP. Don't know if a 3.5 V6 can make that kink of power yet. Unless its a hybrid setup, then that will be a game changer for the segment. But i'm still betting on either a S/C 5.8 or EB 5.0, or an EB 4.0 V8. -

New Lighting, with a Ecoboost V8? -
If Lincoln wants to be taken seriously, the Continental should be the first car to get the CD6. Most will just write it off as a re badge Ford with FWD/AWD. The car has the looks to take on the best luxury sedans in the world. Just need a proper chassis and drive train. I would say 3.0 EB base, and optional 4.0 v8 EB. With 8 or 10 speed transmission.

Meanwhile, C&D Loves the Edge Sport
98GMLS replied to probeGT's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Ford needs to put this motor in the Fusion, as a Sport or ST. That car needs a performance version. Crazy that there is no V6 in this car, when Camry, Accord and Altima, the three best selling Mid size cars all offer V6's. Need this in the Mustang as well, as a gap from the 2.3 to the 5.0. -
Doesn't Ford have a working relationship with Jaguar/Land Rover. Why not buy chassis from them and put their bodies and that could be a quick fix for Lincoln. All RWD and AWD line up. From XJ, XF, XE. The new Continental on a XJ platform would be a killer with a 3.0 EB and a 5.0 and a performance version with a 5.8 s/c or the next high output 3.5 EB. With new 10 speed transmission. For the SUV's, use Land Rover platforms. As a Ford guy its painful to see Dodge getting all the attention with the Charger/Hellcat and ever Chevy has an SS. If Dodge can have a Charger and Challenger and Chevy a SS and a Camaro, which is Ford so afraid that a 4 door performance car will take away Mustang sales.

Should Ford offer V6 Ecoboost in Mustang?
98GMLS replied to jpd80's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
How about this 6.4 V10. Too bad this never made production. I vote for a 6.2 with all the good stuff from the 5.0. Easy 500 hp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Shelby_Cobra_Concept -
