That's where the new 1 series comes into play: to fill the gap vacated by the ever growing 3. Back to Mustang....from spy shots I've seen, I like what I'm seeing so far.

I'm not sure about the grille bowing....I have a feeling all three bars will be straight.

I drove an XKR the other day, and let me tell you.....that was a really fun car to drive. I want one! Gotta love the Supercharged engine's growl and bit of whine....flooring it at 70 still produced amazing results...up to 90 in the blink of an eye. I wonder how that engine handles in the XF. In other news....the JLR sale was officially completed today and neither brand is on Ford's homepage any longer.

I don't really think it should be a Mustang either....and I hope it's not 20 inches tall LOL. GT20 isnt a bad name.

First, as somebody else said, SVT would've had to work on it for it to be an SVT and it doesn't sound like they have. Second, maybe it's part of Ford unifying it's global product lineup?

Actually, I think the hook is still in it's "mouth", see the chrome strip on the bottom of the grille, LOL. I don't mind it at all, especially given the type of car it is. My only complaint is the goofy looking air vents, other than that I don't have much to say about it's design. I kinda like how they integrated the rear hatch/door handle into the Ford emblem.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the next Mondeo/Fusion becoming a "4 door coupe", but not with that face.

Hey, I have an idea....why not have Mercury continue the "American" styling...it seems to be working for them now....oh wait... Actually, if some style was injected into Mercury's designs, an "American" Mercury could possibly work alongside the "Euro-yet-American" Ford.

Does anybody know if the pricing on the 'Build and Price' thing is accurate yet?

Thanks to both of you. I'd love for my dad to get a new one, but it'll probably be a few years before he does since his is still relatively new, is in almost perfect shape and he hasn't (knock on wood) had any major problems with it yet.

My only thought would be to try the other dealer, see if it's any better. Third time's the charm maybe? If that doesn't work, you may be stuck dealing with yet another non-helpful Ford dealer.

I'm not 100% sure, but I've read several articles stating that the F-150 will be recieving the 6.2 for late 09/early '10, and that the Navigator would recieve the first application of the new engine ahead of the F-150, thus making it possible for an 09 Navigator option at some point. It could be late availablity or something though. BTW, welcome to BOF!

Here are a few changes that I know off the top of my head: SYNC system available, rain sensing wipers now available/standard on certain models, I seem to remember reading something about heated rear seats, and I can't think of any other changes right now, at least without reading the order guide again.

I agree, it looks good, and hopefully you wont have any problems with this one. I assume the stereo muting is similar to when the navigation system gives directions, it lowers the volume so the system can talk, etc.?
