  1. I dont think so....one (Civic) is ugly, and the other (Corolla) is, well....ugly. OK, so maybe they're both ugly, but I don't see how somebody could confuse them.
  2. Hmmm, Malibu quality and overall package approaching CamCords? Maybe with a more recognizable name (Taurus), the Five Hundred would've been recieved better. Who knows? All I know is that the new Taurus looks great, inside and out, especially in black. Id take it over a CamCord any day.
  3. Anythings better than the current Malibu.
  4. Toyota needs to stop pretending to be an American car company.
  5. I suppose in Ford's defense, they are engineering a significantly new truck only 5 model years after its initial launch last model changeover, it was 7 years (97-04), so theoretically the new engine debuts would be more in line w/ a more traditional 6-7 year (truck) product cycle. I do think there should be no excuse for not having new engines developed 5 years after a models' debut though.
  6. IIRC, the 6-speed (I assume from Expy) will be in the new 09 model regardless of new powertrain or not.
  7. I dont know, either way its hideous.
  8. Kinda like this? I named it the Mark LT, but it could be named Navigator LT like you said. Based off the Navigator L, with an even longer wheelbase though.
  9. I think the drivers of these FJs finally realized how ugly their car was ---- they saw the reflection of their hideous FJ in one of those shiny chrome-like semi trailers and rapidly jerked the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to flip. Actually they look better than how they come from the factory!
  10. I saw the Sebring in the rear end too.
  11. It looks great in black, I've seen several black Taurus' near me. Im sure the dark blue looks nice too!
  12. The old ('97/'98-'02/'03) Expedition, F-150, Navigator, and Blackwood all used the same basic interior, with some minor cosmetic changes to differenciate between the Fords and Lincolns. '04 Lightning '02 Expedition (ignore top part of image) '02 Navigator '01 Blackwood
  13. not bad, good job. I guess theoretically it could take the place of the discontinued 5 door wagon
  14. Are the Enclave's tail lights LEDs? They dont look like them, but could be. The MKX does use LEDs for the illuminated lightbar at night. No HIDs though, unfortunately, which IMO is inexcusable for a luxury CUV -- even the cheaper MKZ has them available.

    Mercury Capri

It's just an idea I had, but I would think its perfectly feasible, its really just a rebadge of the Euro Focus CC, they could ship it here, and as someone else said, the higher price point could be justified b/c its a Mercury and is nicer than any NA Ford (Focus) product.
  16. That proves that people that end up buying Ford vehicles are satisfied w/ them, meaning that Ford has great products, I think I saw like 1 Toyota on there--Yaris. When Fiesta/Verve comes I think it'll be on that list too. I was interested to see that Sierra beat Super Duty, but then realized it was 07 models, not 08s which feature Tailgate step, PowerScope mirrors, etc. on top of the redesign. Lincoln and Mercury on top too!! :happy feet: Take that Lexus! :slug: Overall, Great Job Ford!!
  17. I dont think its incentives. the GM website says $0 on hood at least for FL. thats obviously not the individual dealers though, they could be offering incentives i would think?
  18. I agree w/ you about the Taurus numbers. CV is now fleet only, and I'd assume GM customers are slowly dropping off b/c of customer age, etc. New customers aren't really going to buy them cuz they're old looking. With no significant upgrades/refreshes, body changes, anything, what could you expect from the Panthers? With that said, I believe Ford could use an Interceptor (and MKR) type vehicle at the top of the lineup, but I don't think it should be a priority at this point (except maybe for Lincoln, but MKS will work for now). Ford needs to continue to replace and refresh it's current lineup and make it the best it can be w/ class leading, not class equal products. Once it does that, IMO it could then work on more niche segments like a large RWD V8 powered sedan.
  19. I saw a brand new Tundra at my local Ford dealer in the used lot the other day. I don't blame the guy, but at the same time, he shouldn't have bought it in the first place. At least he realized his mistake.
  20. where's Page 2? could you provide a link, unless the 2nd page isnt related to Mulally's 'report card'
  21. That Fusion interior looks MUCH better than the one pscario posted. I agree w/ you about the Mercury emblem on the steering wheel too. The guages on the Milan are a bit more interesting too (not THAT big of a deal though)
