  1. hmmm.... good point. Its a ploy that might actually work! It just looks bad when the media covers the recall with footage of new Fords They cant seem to tell the difference
  2. This cruise switch issue is like a virus that wont go away!!!!!!!!!!
  3. It will be nice to finally get some power numbers. I'm interested in seeing how the 5.0 and the 6.2 stack up against each other. My guess: 3.7L: 275/275 3.5L: 340/400 (i think this was confirmed) 5.0L: 375?? /400?? 6.2L: 400/440?
  4. Excellent work on the rear-end! Very much a Muscle Car look, and in this trim, the lower black piece no longer sticks out. Instead there is a very clean looking Exhaust. I like what little I can see of the wheels too. I hope they show it at the LA Auto Show in the After Market area....
  5. LOL, first thing that came to my mind when i read the title was the Aztec... I dont know why I hate that thing so much.
  6. Awesome!! I cant wait for the LA car show this year. So many great Ford Models to look at. Ford had the best looking setup last year compared to ChryCo and GM. This year will probably be the same.
  7. The timing of this "Caprice" seems to suggest that the end of the CV is near. And it doesn't look like Ford will have anything to replace it for at least 2-3 years. Maybe a next generation RWD platform will bring some competition to the Caprice for Law Enforcement.
  8. Thanks for the info... Any info on a 4.4L Diesel for the F-150? Has the 3.5L EcoBoost taken the place of that motor?
  9. The news is definitely a shocker, however those customers will probably mosey on over to the nice new little cars & SUVs that Ford builds. Its unfortunate news for the folks that will lose their jobs, but good news for Ford sales.
  10. Interesting, a Twin Turbo 5.0L V8 for the Shelby. Now that sounds awesome and possible: 3.7L V6 Standard, about 270hp 5.0L V8 for the GT at 400hp 5.0L TT for the Shelby at about 550hp(my guestimate) The TT5.0 should be a pretty decent motor to go up against the now-back-on-schedule 550hp Z/28. The 5.0 will probably drop the weight of the GT500 to about 3700-3800 lbs. right about where the camaro is I believe.
  11. I think the CTS is one of the best (if not the best) cars that GM builds. And the CTS-V is no exception. I am impressed so far with the design of the coupe. I only hope that they shave down some of those sharp angles on the car. I also hope that they stick to a true Six Speed Manual and only offer an SMG or AutoManual as an option.
  12. LOL: "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself" Mike Rowe talking about the 6.7L Diesel... Take that!!!!
  13. I cant wait to see the full potential of the 3.5L ecoboost motor where the trans is not the weakest link. I know that motor has a LOT of potential power just waiting to be unleashed.
  14. Looking at the picture closely again and things seem a bit odd. At first I thought could this be an Expy? But looking at it closely, its definitely a Crew Cab F-150 with a Shell. But whats with all the Camo? I think Ford is going to introduce the Crew as a 2011/12 model along with either a full line design revamp or just an S-Crew revamp. I wouldn't be surprised if the Super Crew had a more toned down look... less racy. I love speculating.
  15. You really cant call an SVT Raptor owner a "Poseur" because he/she doesn't mob desert sands at 50MPH regularly. The whole point of owning a truck is versatility. This truck is much more versatile than an F-150 Lightning for example. Its great in all weather conditions and now can carry the whole family... sounds like a good deal to me. Not calling anyone a Poseur, but to me a poseur would be a person who buys a car or truck, loads it with equipment designed for a specific offroad purpose, and then never uses it for that purpose. The only motivation was to look the part or "belong" Driving a production car can not be considered a "Poseur" move if you ask me.
  16. Well, there you have it. An Screw like everyone wanted. I kind of agree with Ford on the Logic (if this is indeed a pickup). The Raptor is just going to be used like a regular truck by a majority of customers. Not everyone is going desert mobbing. Having both an Screw Raptor and the standard Raptor is a good idea.
  17. Just for fun and speculation (not for the sake of arguing), I dug up the following: 2009 F150 Drag Coefficient: .403 2009 Flex Drag Coefficient: .355 Flex wins 2010 EcoBoost Flex (per Motortrend) 2 wheel drive: 24 MPG highway. All wheel drive: 22 MPG highway. So everyone is right!
  18. Oh... I think you'd be surprised. The 3.5 will weigh significantly less than the 5.4 The Flex' tires are anything but "low resistance" and it achieves 24 MPGs in the highway. And, the Flex is no less a brick than the F150. 2009 F-150 4x2 S-crew STX weighs 5200 lbs. Vs. the Flex' 4600 a difference of 600 lbs. I think an Extended Cab F-150 Might pull it off.
  19. And... if an EcoBoost F-150 can manage 25+ MPG on the highway, its: Game... Set... and Match.
  20. The 3.5 will be marvelous in an F-150. Currently, torque levels are subdued in the SHO to preserve the powertrain. In a RWD F150 platform, that will not be the case as the Trans can manage the torque. I expect 350 hp and 375 lb ft peak torque via 6 speed automatic. Will the line up look like this? 3.5L EcoBoost 5.0L 6.2L 6.7L Scorpion
