  1. Little Country the van is in prodruction is going Slowly but surely "about 100 a day" Second shift is still scheduled to start in September ? These are nice vans not like the old simple hull of the econoline
  2. At KCAP our problem is medical restricted new hires. If managent tries to put them on a job they run to medical. These are people with less than 2 or 3 years Most of them had daddy or mommy help get them there job! Ford needs to go back to job service and hire people. Stop this hiring mommy or daddies kid
  3. Get used to the fact that your dues are going up. New hires stop whining about equal wages with legacy employees. It took me over three years "credited service" to get to top scale. If I remember correctly anyone hired after the 1996 contract had to wait three years "credited service" to get to top scale. Tier wage is not going away get used to it.   8. at kcap we were told bluetooth can cause false readings with the quality scanners used to insure the right part was being installed ? ... thats why there banned from plant ?
  9. So sad but true Tapper,,,, We are the Union If the 99% of these cry babies did something more than bitch we would have no problems with UAW International or The Company At KCAP problems are not at the Local Level Our Reps do a good job. Just my opinion.
  10. kcap has a new stamping plant and will be stamping f-150 parts at start then will start stamping transit van parts... kcap is adding 1600 jobs rumer kcap is adding a new press for the f-150 2015 model

Union ask the company to give them planned OT, Warning you may be working OT on this date,That does not mean it is scheduled and is subject to change,I like that the Union gets this information makes it easier to plan things,"oops I may have to work that saturday?" Supplier problems,Demand for the product,Breakdowns,etc also have a impact on scheduled OT Plus read the contract there is all kinds of language in it about manditory OT due to lost production because of breakdowns,parts shortage ,demand for product, etc it is nothing new the language has been there for like 60 years In other words Ford can work you as many hours as they want if they need what you produce up to 12 hours a day 7 days a week Happy?

  14. I have seen this many times add a shift or major model change and suppliers have a problem keeping up with assembly,Is it poor planning buy Ford or the suppliers? KCAP wants to run 2-50 hour a week shifts, due to windshield shortages we have been working 8 hours or less and all production loss make up saturdays have been canceled

Yesterday I received a letter from the Employee Benefits Office Healthcare benefit changes effective March 1st 2012 your office visit copay will be $30 It was my understanding that our office visit would have a copay of $20 http://www.uaw.org/content/health-care-benefits-improved-expanded-and-protected-0 We have know contract books so I can see wtf is going on And the union reps say let me check on that ANYONE know anything about this I have BlueCare HMO
