Union ask the company to give them planned OT, Warning you may be working OT on this date,That does not mean it is scheduled and is subject to change,I like that the Union gets this information makes it easier to plan things,"oops I may have to work that saturday?"
Supplier problems,Demand for the product,Breakdowns,etc also have a impact on scheduled OT
Plus read the contract there is all kinds of language in it about manditory OT due to lost production because of breakdowns,parts shortage ,demand for product, etc it is nothing new the language has been there for like 60 years
