  1. I'm sure there is going to be multiple frame lengths for the Ranger to be able to accommodate the various cab/bed configurations. Pick 2 for the Bronco that best suits a 2 and 4 door model and engineer accordingly.
  2. In her defense, She's 8 1/2 months pregnant and isn't really thinking about things before she speaks for some reason I cannot confirm if that was legit or just a random thought
  3. Uh, No Escort predates the Contour by about 15 years and both were sold concurrently.
  4. Can you really count the Panthers since they were around for so long?
  5. TTAC hinted that's the direction they might be leaning towards. Makes sense with modern crash regs. It's not the retro come off in one piece that I'm sure people want but it's certainly a more convenient and easier to handle package. A best of both worlds scenario if you will.
  6. Detroit Free Press has a similar article to Jalopnik http://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/chrysler/2017/01/12/how-fiat-chryslers-diesel-woes-differ-massive-vw-scandal/96508140/
  7. If I were in your position (or Carl's for that matter) I would strongly consider the same thing.
  8. It came from Raj Nair http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/the-ford-bronco-won-t-just-be-a-lame-ford-everest-after-1791128480
  9. We also don't know for certain that this won't be a complete redesign next-generation model either How about we wait a little while before pontificating.
  10. Innovators also recognize a need. I'm still not convinced this is a need.
  11. Even if the new EPA head backs off regulations, you can't do it retroactively. This isn't going away that easily.
  12. The whole thing is an answer to a question nobody asked Much like a lot of things GM does And who the hell is Melody Lee?
  13. Fwiw I own a 2015 Focus SE hatch with a 5 speed. You might be able to find a used one up to model year 2016 ( or a new 2016 somewhere) but it will probably require a little digging to find.
  14. complete bullshit, I'll edit later to explain why*edit* 1. His account has now been deleted, that's sketchy in itself 2. The manner in which he "verified" his identity. Ford badges all look pretty much the same. It's a Picture, your name and a Ford logo, nothing about job title. I could show them mine and claim I'm lead engineer on some secret new Mustang and probably get away with it long enough to do a Reddit AMA. 3. There's a way to confirm without saying too much. He does not accomplish this at all. 4. Everything he does say is pretty much just echoing what is out there as rumor here and other places around the internet. I'm pretty sure I could ask this guy if he knows a few people who I personally know (one I'm related to) are or will be working on either the Ranger or Bronco and he wouldn't have a clue who I'm talking about.
  15. I3 no longer available in hatchback and no longer able to get a 5 speed in anything other than the S series. I just looked over the holidays.
  16. Intriguing depending on what it comes with I have a very specific list of what I want, I will not settle for anything different (except the manual transmission because that's probably not happening. Thanks society) and I'll factory order if I need to.
  17. I haven't been this year since it's not open to the public yet, but the Ford and Lincoln displays have been the same for the last 3 years.
  18. Given the wide price range for the F-150, I would be willing to go up to about $40k for a Ranger optioned the way I want it, manual transmission or not
  19. Wouldn't surprise me, Carl took a few hard hits last year, everyone will remember Homestead because of the championship implications, but remember Dover? His first word on the radio was OW and he hit the soft wall.
